“Lovely family meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

Booked a meal for 9 people including 5 vegetarians and my Mum with a very small appetite.
Zoe was very helpful and even offered extra vegetarian options. We were welcomed by name when we arrived, and served lovely food by helpful polite smiley people.
The Boot is obviously popular, and was very busy on this Saturday lunchtime, but we were not rushed and had a really enjoyable leisurely family lunch.
Absolutely recommend.

“A very good pub lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

This pub is located in the very pretty village of Sarratt, a short drive from the M25 and we linked up with some friends to do one of the good walks in the area. We then had a great lunch after our walk, with particularly good service. The food was very good, there was a good choice of beers and the value-for-money was reasonable. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch at The Boot in Sarratt, we got the feeling that the staff really tried to please us, the food was great and the cost reasonable. The Boot is in a lovely location in the village of Sarratt, Herts, not far from junction 18 of the M25, highly recommended

“Fantastic country pub in a beautifull village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

What a fantastic old English pub.
Great ambiance, great selection of food, ales and wines.
Log burner for those cold winter nights.
Coupled with the best pub service I have ever encountered, I could live there.
Just a beautiful place to spend relaxing hours with good company and pleasant staff.
From a light brunch to full on restaurant menu, the food is wonderful.

Sarratt is a quiet village just 5 minutes from the M25, but you would think you are 100 miles from London, with it's peaceful ambiance and rolling village green.

I'll be back as soon as I can, to relax with a pint of perfect ale, outside this exceptional pub on one of the largest tables I have ever seen.

Well done to Nick and Zoe and all the staff, not forgetting the pubs maintenance team headed up by 'dial a dad'

English pub as they should be !!

“Location lovely - Food awful”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

9 adults and 4 children visited here on Sunday 4th May 14. We were celebrating my sons first communion so it was a big event for him Our table was booked for 3.45. I had asked the staff to let us know when it was ready as we were sitting in the garden. By 3.50, no table, however when we went in to purchase more drinks our table was occupied by another party. It had our name plainly written on the chalkboards that they use. Apparently, our table was ready in another room although no one bothered to tell us this. We ordered our food and an hour later it had still not arrived. Despite having a 1 year old child who was crying with hunger they proceeded to give everyone their food...bar him! He was served last. I ordered the lemon chicken. It was cold, and I could not get my knife through the potatoes. The carrots and broccoli were tasteless and i sent my meal back. Other members of our group said their food was below average also. Being hungry we ordered the trio of desserts. It cost almost £7.00 and what we received were 3 desserts no bigger than a toy car! We will not be returning to this establishment the food is overpriced and below average. Two good things about this place is that the bar staff were very friendly and it does have a nice atmosphere. It also caters well for children with the bouncy castle and playground in the garden. I would avoid the food though!!
