Its been open 5 years. Melissa is the director and is lovely. She is patient, knowledgeable, and the perfect host. Go see this place. There is a collection of Andy Warhol work there right now. No cell phones or cameras allowed. Stay in the moment and absorb the contemporary art.

We visited the Powers Art Center. It is amazing to see the collection of Jasper Johns prints. It is a very complete
Overview of his work. They also were showing Andy Warhol on the main level. Don’t miss the library and lead reliefs of Johns and the Japanese ceramics. The setting is also beautiful. The ladies who run the place are very helpful.
It is located at the 13 mile marker coming from Aspen.

One of the most beautiful museums ever in an incomparable setting. The architecture is perfect for the art and the setting. I am a big Jasper Johns fan so this is a highlight.

Our son recommended stopping at the Powers Art Center and it is well worth the visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The art is different and what is displayed changes on a regular basis. It was very well organized and easy to get around. Not crowded so we could spend time looking at the art. If you have the time it is well worth the visit. Beautiful building and facility.
