We stayed in the very first room at the top of the open stair case. This lodge is surrounded by tall ever greens with a neighbor's house nestled behind trees across the narrow street and a family home that connects to the lodge by a private walk. We left the windows open all night and closed just the bedside window and blind during the day. Our room was cool and comfortable all day long as we would pop in and out during our visit. There is plenty of parking plus its an easy drive to experience day-trips to the surround scenic attractions. We got the package deal and enjoyed every moment.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are great but we were on the north-eastern corner which helped keep our room c...

My husband and I stayed here in the lodge for 2 nights, on a last minute trip. It was very convenient to local attractions. But more important, everything you expect of a B&B! A comfy bed and a "to die for" breakfast! We stayed in the Timberwolf room, which was rather "cozy". I chose this room because of the balcony, which we did not utilize, but we did sleep with the doors open! Nothing like fresh mountain air! The whole Reynold's family was so friendly and inviting. It happened to be Brian Reynold's Birthday weekend, so we got to spend a little time with extended family. Debbie, we will definitely recommend your place, and will stay again if we ever get another chance to visit again!

My husband and I stayed in the cabin with another couple and their child for 4 nights.

Positives:
* Directions were very good; easy to find
* The cabin was cozy and clean for the most part.
* It had just about everything we needed (Pans, dishes, wine glasses, etc) for providing meals. (though we washed everything that we needed before using it for the first time )
*The Hot tub was wonderful, we used it every night.
*Location of Pike Peaks, Cave of the Winds, Etc were all close to the cabin
* Fireplace was nice on those cool rainy days/nights that we had

Negatives:
* Our friends said the Futon was not comfortable at all; they didn't sleep well at all.
* The other bedroom bed was OK. I know people have unique desires for mattresses, but we thought it was too hard.
* Not sure how much the owners really check under stuff. but when we were cleaning before checking out, we found a dead mouse under the sofa, which we took care of that.
* Keep the door to the Mudroom closed. The first night we left it open and a Bat flew in. My husband had to chase it out
*Website said they had WiFi, but they DO NOT. We called then about it and they said the website needs updating.
*Minor - but the can opener did not work correctly
* Wished there were more than 1 bathroom. With 5 people, we had to work out a schedule.

Overall this was a nice place and would come back.

We are glad the guests enjoyed their stay in the Cabin for the most part. We would like to take this opportunity to address the areas that did not meet our guests' expectations:
1. We check dishes after each guest checks out so the dishes and pots and pans should have been clean when the guests checked in.
2. Futons in general do not have the most comfortable mattresses, but the mattress that is on the futon is in good shape, just not a high quality mattress like the mattress in the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has bunk beds with a double futon on the bottom and a twin on top. We make this information known on our website, and we tell guests the sleeping arrangements as well if they call to inquire. It's perfect for a small family.
3. The fact that there is only 1 bathroom is also listed on the website, and we tell people that it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Cabin when they call. If guests want 1 bathroom per couple, or per room, or a high quality mattress in every bed, our Bed and Breakfast Lodge is a great fit as each bedroom has high quality mattresses and each room in the B&B has private bathrooms.
4. We did have wireless internet at the Cabin, but Century Link was having problems in our area and we could not get good, consistent service, so we discontinued internet this spring. The website was updated in March, but the guests had printed their information sheet back in January, prior to the internet being disconnected and our website being updated. We are currently working with Comcast to get wireless internet in the Cabin and hope to have it installed by the end of August 2014.
5. As for the dead mouse, we are extremely sorry about this. We do check under the sofa and beds and all furniture when we clean after every guest checks out. The Cabin was empty for a day prior to these guests checking in and it is possible a mouse managed to make it's way in somehow and was unable to get back out. We are very sorry that the guests had that experience. We take care and pride in having extremely clean facilities, and will do our best to make sure this does not happen again in the future.

The setting of the lodge is beautiful, tucked into the woods yet easy access to the highway. Definitely use the directions Debbie gives you, the lodge is easy to find this way. The lodge itself is beautiful, comfortable and Debbie has thought of everything to make your visit enjoyable.
Do not skip out on the breakfast. It is wonderful, fresh fruit, delicious entrees and delectable desserts. The location is close to everything so it is very convenient.

We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Lodge for 4 nights. The lodge is in a great location close to Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, etc. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. Debbie is an amazing hostess and the minute we arrived we felt welcome and right at home. Both Debbie and Brian were able to give us ideas on different hiking trails and things to do around the area. We did not partake in the breakfast but I hear that they are delicious. Bring a swimsuit so you can sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine! Bring a book so you can sit on the porch in one of the big rocking chairs. We would definitely stay there again and would even consider renting the entire lodge for other family members!

The owners were very helpful. Everyone had a great time and it was a beautiful place to have our wedding. It's very secluded and quiet. All of our guests really loved the location and the rooms. It was very nice to have rooms for all of our guests.

This B&B was in a central location near Pike's Peak and other attractions. The B&B was a comfortable home where we felt welcomed by the hostess. We even checked in early and she graciously accepted us. We felt comfortable lounging in the living room and on the porches. Her recommendation for a local restaurant was excellent.
We would definitely stay there again.
