“September golf at "The Ridge"”
Reviewed 6 October 2012

This was a first class experience all the way. We played with the annual $52.80 deal that occurs the last two weeks of September. It was all inclusive and normal freight is $145. Full price is a lot but relative to what you get and the world of golf, it would still be worth every penny. Our day included unlimited range balls, cart, cold bottled water in the cart, tees, simply everything you need to enjoy the day. The course itself is extremely challenging througout. The front nine wind a bit through a neighborhood with simply beautiful houses. The fairways are long, very well maintained and the greens were also extremely well cared for. They were fast but more as a function of recent mowing. The back nine are a bit more of an adventure with nature. Lots of pine, wildlife and simply challenging golf. Many courses in Colorado are fairly forgiving in terms of second shots. This one is not. On most of the holes, you need to be generally straight as there is a lot of nature and not a lot of second chances. You have some forgiveness but by all means, bring extra balls. The scenery around the course, especially the last two or three holes makes it an amazing adventure. The clubhouse is awesome, great food and drinks and attentive staff. From the first interaction with the starter to the closing moments with the club cleaners, it was simply a fantastic experience. I've played many courses throughout Colorado and this is by far, without hesitation, the best of the best. If you are looking to entertain clients, simply enjoy a round with friends or looking to just get out and play a round, this course will leave you wanting more. Enjoy the experience and hit 'em straight!

“Wonderful place to start your day: Breakfast over looking 18”
Reviewed 7 September 2012

Start your day with a great breakfast on the patio over-looking the 18th green and views south/west. One of the best settings in the area open to the public.

The burrito with green chili is well executed and service was excellent.
Live in area and we look forward to going often.

“Too many houses”
Reviewed 17 July 2012

Based up reviews you would expect this course to be spectacular, but it comes up short. On the front nine every fairway is lined with houses. The Back nine is better but it still lacks star power. The 18th hole is spectacular but it makes you wonder why more holes are visually spectacular like the 18th.

The course conditioning was top notch.

For a high end target course I would expect a cart gps or a full yardage book but they provided neither. Fortunately I had a sky caddie, without it the course would have been very frustrating to play because you would no idea where to hit on most holes.

This course is overpriced at $145 but is worth $75 for twilight.

“Patience A Must”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

This can be a challenging course and views of the front range are absolutely spectacular. From the 8th and 9th holes you can see DIA, downtown Denver, and the entire front range. The course is interesting and never boring. There are plenty of elevation changes. You will use every club in your bag. The problem with this course is slow play and frequent cart path only. Be prepared for a 5 hour + round. And, compared to other area courses, it is pricey.
