This inn is very conveniently located if your travels are in the Pike's Peak/Colorado Springs area. The rooms are so cleverly decorated to reflect the history of the building. Our room had a western theme and the bathroom vanity was made of postal boxes as the inn was once a post office. We also had a rocker made of horseshoes--suprisingly comfortable. There is a deck with a hot tub, but the inn sits quite close to roads so there's not a great deal of peace and quiet when outside. Our breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A AAA discount is given which is an added bonus.
Recent Trip to CO Sprigs - we decided to stay up close to the mountains and stayed for 2 nights at the Chipita lodge.
It was our very first experience staying at a B&B - and we were very impressed and happy to have picked this inn. The setting of this B&B is very beautiful. We had stayed in the Marcroft room- it had a fireplace, good stand in shower and an individual tub as well. the bedding is very comfortable and high qulaity.
The inn is located at the base of Pike's Peak, the area is extremely quiet and is very well maintained. The pure love for this inn by its owners is evident
in the care which is given to every detail and amenity. There are fresh cookies and drinks available all day for guests. The morning breakfast was warm, flavorful and served in generous amounts.
Both Kevin and Martha were are very accomodating and friendly. One morning we were experiencing internet problems( they have free wireless for their guests) - Kevin was very cooperative when we asked if we could have him reboot his network and he did everything possible to get the internet up and running.
I'd recommend anyone staying at this property - it is convnienntly located to the major attractions such as Cogs Rail, and Manitou Springs( for shopping and dining) Seven Falls and Garden of the God.
