“Amazing location, views, comfortable rooms and good service”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

I was here on a business trip, and blown away by the beauty of this area, and the location and views around the Hotel. This sprawling hotel has rooms open to an amazing view. There are Stags (Deer) that drink from the lake at the back of the hotel, and Bunnies just a few feet from the balcony. There is a spa and pool, but I did not get the chance to experience them. The rooms are large with very comfortable beds and kept to a very high standard by the maids. Breakfast is comprehensive. Service is very good, but unfortunately, the bar closes at 10pm. I thoroughly recommend this as a place to chill-out and get-away destination.

Room Tip: Make sure you get one with a stunning view... I was in Room 208.

Hard to argue the view when it overlooks the Garden of the Gods! Sad we only stayed two nights and didn't have a chance to take advantage of all the facilities. We did enjoy the hot tub and the heated pool one wintry night; what a great way to relax before bedtime. Huge windows grace the restaurant making it possible to take in the park and the mountains behind it. AND, the food was great! Wonderful menu professionally executed. Staff were responsive and friendly. Admittedly, you'll need a car as it's a bit away from other facilities, restaurants, etc.

Room Tip: Seems all the rooms face the park, but the 2nd floor rooms may offer even more glorious vistas.

Wow what a great place! Nice clean comfy white bed linens. A least 9 down pillows! Great view from the room and a FIREPLACE. We ordered room service it was very tasty. At one point we had 3 baby deer and 3 bunnies just hanging out in the yard it was so peaceful. Oh and a huge kitchen/ bath area you could really spend some time here.

Pro's:
* Large rooms

* Large bathroom with 2 sink areas and separate room for toilet/shower
* Walk-in closet
* Full-height dressing mirror

Cons:

Would stay again.

Room Tip: Closer to the lodge is better. Upstairs rooms are less likely to have bugs/ticks on the patio. Som...

I stayed here for only 1 night (will definitely book for more next time) and it was the single best experience I have had! The room was clean, beautiful view, reasonable rate, but the staff is what made this an A-One experience. From walking in the door checking in, having drinks at the bar and then ordering room service, ALL of the staff here was warm, friendly and made you want to stay. I will be paying another visit here in the near future!!!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and for the money (we used a AAA discount too) it was well worth it. Our room had an amazing view, comfortable bedding/pillows, fireplace, and spacious bath space. The rooms are quaint and well kept..a little older and not modern, but we didn't mind. It definitely had a mountain/inn type of feel. Parking was convenient too.

The staff was friendly and let us check in early since our room was ready. We also ate in the lounge for lunch. Food was delicious, but I ordered a meal that didn't say it had mayo when it did, the waitress was very nice about it and replaced it for me though with something else. The only drawbacks were the waitress took WAY too long to take our order and bring out our food. There was only 2 other people in the lounge besides us and it kind of stunk when we went for breakfast that my husband forgot to bring khakis and we had to go someplace else. The lounge I believe allows jeans, but they were not open for breakfast, only the dining room. The Adams Mountain Cafe was great for breakfast though!

We have been coming to Colorado Springs for several years because our sons are at Colorado College but we only recently found out about the Lodge at Garden of the Gods Club. Wish we had known about it earlier. It is one of the most spectacular hotels we have ever been to. The view from every single spot in the entire lodge is fantastic. The rooms are spacious and the staff friendly and helpful.
