Wide fairways and well kept. This is a great golf course to spend time at. Several fairways spot light Pikes Peak in the background and make for a great photograph.

If you didn't like how your golf game turned out you can always stop in at the restaurant to enjoy a drink and/or a meal afterward. When its warm the patio is the place to sit. The staff and food are decent. The Bloody Mary is wicked (spicy).

This is a beautiful course with amazing views. The snack cart was available and friendly.

The pro shop and starters are rude. Expect to waste time waiting on them since they expect patrons to wait for them. I waited 5 minutes for the guys behind the counter to finish their conversation before I was even acknowledged. The starter made me wait 10 minutes while he was typing something in the computer, I had to tell him my name 4 times. When I made the turn they had just let 3 walkers out in front of my group which made us have to wait even more. These guys stop renting carts at 2pm. I wonder how much money the city loses because of this? They let five-somes out on the course and fail to marshall them when they hunt for balls and hold up groups behind them. There are some other details which seemed to indicate this course is not properly managed such as empty sand and seed bottles on the carts. The water jugs were empty after 11am which shows lack of management. I noticed unrepaired divots on the fairways and multiple unrepaired ball marks on the greens. If you want to play a quick round this is not the right course. If you want to play a round with no consideration for time then this place is it.

Just driving down the majestic entrance driveway you get a feel for how special this place is. It was the first golf course in the country to be named after a woman and is the oldest golf course west of the Mississippi. The courses are well kept and fun to play. Don't leave any food in your cart; the resident foxes will jump into your cart and run off with your food while you are playing. The clubhouse is old, beautiful and well maintained. The locals come for breakfast and lunch, even if they aren't interested in playing golf. The city owns this treasure, so the green fees are a real bargain.

This is one of the oldest public courses in Colorado Springs. It is walkable but carts are available. The value was good. Not too difficult of a course
