“Clean, comfortable, great staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

Our family stayed here for a weekend getaway to the Springs, this hotel came recommended so we thought we would give it a try!

Our check-in was a breeze, parking was plentiful and convenient, with great access from the front of the property and the rear. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a double Queen room, that also had a couch and fridge. The layout was great, our daughters shared one bed, and we were able to turn the TV towards the couch and enjoy our evening together while they snoozed.

The location was quiet, and convenient to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the winds, the Skysox Stadium, several great parks, and plenty of restaurants, as well as being right off of I-25.

The breakfast was great, even a bit more than I expected, with plenty of food variety for everyone. My wife went to the Starbucks in the lobby a couple of times, and really enjoyed having that option. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even going so far as to offer a few maraschino cherries to my daughters while my wife was waiting for her coffee.

The fitness room was fine, nothing stellar but had everything I needed, and wasn't busy or cluttered. The pool was still covered up from winter.

Not a bad thing to say about our entire experience, if we stay in the area again this will definitely be our choice of hotels!

Clean, well appointed rooms. The bathroom was perfectly clean. I was really happy to see they had tea bags - not all hotels do.

The Lobby is sparkling clean and the front desk staff's attention to detail and pleasant demeanor rivals 5* hotels.

Breakfast is included which really is an added value.

I'd stay here again - with pleasure!

First stay, and there was much to like - great view, great location, and despite being right next to the freeway the room (3rd floor, 'mountain' side) was extremely quiet. Some issues though :
1. Access is through a gas station (seriously) and very hard to find for the first time visitor. A sign on the median might be useful.
2. Breakfast buffet had a really good selection, but considering this is a city/state that celebrates diversity, it would be nice if just one of the hot items could be meatless. If carnivores get three choices, can't vegetarians be given at least one ? (Other hotels can do this, so why not Hyatt ?)
3. The hotel is smoke free, which is great, but many of the staff weren't, and it seems the rear door area (where most of the parking is) has become the "smoker's lounge". Tacky. And very smelly. If you're pitching to smoke-free guests, how about a non-smoking staff ?
4. Not a deal-breaker, but for a hew hotel some of the decor just seemed very...70's...y'know ? Surprising

Other than that, great room, great view, good price. All told, a good stay.

Oh, and a very big plus - TWO free morning papers : Wall St. Journal and USA Today. Nice

Room Tip: Higher floors on the 'mountain' side have the better view. The lower the room number, the fu...

We were in town attending a funeral and my niece picked this hotel. From the minute we checked in, I was impressed. I typically don't stay in Hyatt's but after my stay I will definitely give them a try more often. The breakfast buffet was ok, could use some variation but the service and environment made up for it. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The hotel had excellent wifi which made it easy to work remotely. This hotel is close to Garden of the Gods and several restaurants.

I was in town to tend to my daughter in the hospital. The staff was more than welcoming and gave me top notch service. The room was clean and well stocked and the breakfast was fresh and perfect. I used the gym and all the equipment was in good repair and clean. Great value for the price.

used the TripA to locate a convenient hotel for my business trip, and there were certainly enough satisfied customers. I count myself among them. This is newly built place (so its very clean) just off the 25 and convenience was important. Oddities: its in the back of food chain and 7/11 parking lot set up, so getting in and out is a little tough, especially if you want to head west on G of the G Road by turning left and not making a u-ee at the highway underpass to the right. Parking could get tight if full, but there's some on both sides of property. The food stores include a Freddys Burgers & Custard and a Black Eyed Peas.
Niceties: lots of space in the room. There's a lengthy wall couch as you enter the room, and the bed space is set back, equal square footage I'd say, so its not cramped. You could have a small staff meeting with three colleagues while you work on a presentation. There's a LARGE flat screen on the wall, about 54" or more, and it has handy access ports to plug in a laptop or other device if you are going to stream or display something (bring your many hook up cables as I didnt see any in the room).
There's a desk for work but this is rather small given the room size and so there's a bit of dead space, too - but you can do your P90X workout in this section of the room. A wet bar held a mini-fridge and microwave. Coffee from the tiny in room single serve device wasn't steamy hot so got cold quickly while I shaved in the morning waiting for it to brew. Sink is outside the shower/toilet so someone can use one while you are in the other. I strongly dislike the Speakman showerheads since it is poorly adjustable to a fine spray and feels like a firehose at times. My room had no adjacent room access so I heard no neighbors which was ideal. While there's lots of useful and dead space, the 'Biggest downrating' issue is a cramped and almost inaccessible closet. (demerits awarded to the Hyatt design engineers)
Downstairs had a breakfast nook with hot items, and the lobby is set up with a small bar and starbucks style concession to feed you 24/7. The outdoor pool was closed. I had no spare time to use the workout equipment. Staff have the Colorado style affable character and everyone is pleasant and helpful. Someone found me a bandaid for a blister from my shoes.
Theres an upcharge for rooms with 'mountain view' which I dont recommend you pay. On the other hand, rooms on the otherside have a highway view, so noise may be a factor if you sleep light. I was Mtn view and it was very quiet! Avoid upper floor, low number, non-mountain (ie east facing) view rooms as they appear to look out directly onto the oncoming southbound highway traffic! While others rate this as perfect and amazing, its just one notch below that with what could have been easily adjusted during construction but they made concessions that will last the life of the property.

Room Tip: Avoid upper floor, low number, non-mountain (ie east facing) view rooms as they appear to look out d...
