“Lovely hotel!”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

This was a wonderful place to stay. I have stayed in hyatt's before, but never a hyatt house. I was not disappointed! We had a horrible experience at a different hotel in the area and came here to see if we could check out one of their rooms before booking. It was great! So we luckily were able to get out of the other hotel and come here for two nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us pick activities to do in the area. The rooms were huge and nice! We had a king suite. It had a separate area with a big couch, kitchen with microwave, toaster, oven, fridge, dishwasher, complete with silverware and plates and pots etc. The room also had a walk in closet and full length mirror. Our room overlooked the courtyard with the pool in it. This was very nice. We used the pool and hot tub a few times and both were great! Everything was very clean as well! We saw the train out front a few times like other reviewers have said, but we never heard it. The breakfast was great! One of the better breakfasts we've had at hotels. They had all the normal things plus things like bacon and hashbrowns and eggs. They also had a wide selection of hot teas from starbucks. Everything was really great the whole time! The only thing that we wished had been different was their little 24 hr convenience store. They had been expecting a shipment of food/supplies but it hadn't arrived yet. the store only had a few things left. This wasn't a big deal because there is lots in the area including a few grocery stores where we got some fruit and snacks to keep in our fridge! We will definitely be back if we are in the area again, I told my husband I wish we could just move in! It was close to all the things we wanted to do in CO springs area!

Room Tip: We had one overlooking the courtyard/pool. It was nice to be able to look at the pretty courtyard a...

This place was well managed and went the extra mile. We paid less than $90 to stay and the room was nice, king bed & L-shaped pull out couch. Small clean kitchen & really big tv. Where it exceeded expectations was their breakfast and social hour, which was more like dinner. Good food, lots of coffee, soda, beer... Really helped the travel budget. The pool towels were nice big fluffy yellow towels, etc. you just can't beat what you get for your money. Kind staff, hard working, great for anyone.

We checked in for an overnight stay while on the road with 2 young teenagers so we opted for the King Suite which gave us a closed off bedroom from the queen sofa sleeper. The bathroom is off the bedroom so kids had to come through for bathroom privileges, but nice for adults because we did not have to come out into the common area during the night. We arrived just in time for an evening social which was pretty crowded. They served cheese pizza, really good grilled chicken kabobs, a rice dish and a tomato-cucumber salad, a couple of kinds of dessert. Also a wine spritzer as well as 2 kinds of beer were on tap for the asking. The front desk was wonderfully welcoming and remembered my surname later in the evening when she asked how we liked our room. The bed was very comfortable and the teen girls had no complaints about the sofa sleeper. The breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage and the other usual fare such as bagels, toast, and yogurt. There were various cold cereals as well and some fruit.

We could bring our pet for no extra charge! Rooms were so nice! TVs even had every available hookup you could want for your devices, if my 12 year old son had been with us he would have loved being able to hook up his Xbox! They had a free drinks and snacks (which was big enough for a full meal) from 530-7 mon- thur. We loved it! Full breakfast buffet in the mornings! So u get two free meals practically and drinks! We loved and will use these hotels again. We travel quite a bit and know hotels! Great place for families or couples!

....ask for a room that does not face the railroad tracks! I'd asked for a room with a view of the mountains but it wasn't available. I was okay with that and didn't realize I had a room that faced train tracks til the first one rolled though about 30 minutes after checking in. You can feel the rumble in the rooms. I'm a light sleeper and so each time one went by during the night, it woke me up. Otherwise, this hotel is awesome. The price, the breakfast is one of the best I've had for "continental breakfast included", the "social hour" that included free beer/wine/food (Mon - Thurs. only, I think)....and there is a great view of the mountains, too. The rooms are spacious with a kitchen and large closet. The staff was amazingly pleasant and helpful with everything we asked (restaurants, printing boarding passes, etc.). I'd stay there again if I'm in the area, but not on the side with the train tracks!

Room Tip: Avoid the side with the train tracks.

We were looking for a place that nine people could stay in July in Colorado Springs. This area can be expensive and we were really excited when we found the deal we did on hotels.com. We got the rooms at a reasonable rate, around $90 per night, and found the hotel to be well worth it. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was good and the location was just great. We even came home one night to a huge buck walking through the parking lot! The kids thought it was the coolest thing they had ever seen and were sure that we somehow made it happen. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. the kitchen was an awesome thing to have in the room and the kids were fascinated with "playing house" in the room. They also loved that they gave us toothpaste and "massaging" soap with a duck on the wrapper...it is the little things in life we overlook as we grow!!! Great for families, the pull out couch was actually very comfortable.

Green Features: They have signs about water conservation but I did not see any recycling bins. Perhaps they sort and recycle???

Clean, spacious, location great! Room was a king size suite with small kitchen, each night had a sample buffet of great things to eat, plus wine and beer. Continental breakfast each morning was good as well. Cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Staff was extremely nice and helpful as well.
