“Great stop over”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013

Good, solid hotel. Nice staff each time. Close to everything. Easy for families. Pool stays open late in season. Close to Zoo, North Pole, Pikes Peak, Manitou... just a fun overnight or great kitchen if you are staying longer.

My adult daughter and I stayed three nights Dec 21 - 24, 2013. Our rooms 220 and 223 were on the main floor in the rear of the building.
These rooms were suites comprised of one king bed, sitting area with large couch, full kitchen with full sized (!) refrigerator/freezer, microwave, four burner cooktop, cookware, dishwasher and soap, diningware, and two kitchen towels. Awesome!
The beds were very much to our comfort. The room temperature was easily controlled. Towels plentiful. The entire suite was immaculate. Hotel staff were very responsive and cordial.
Daily breakfast choices were more plentiful than standard but nothing special. Beverage choices consisted of coffees, teas, juices, milk.
Food choices were slightly varied daily but consisted of toast/bagels/muffins/doughnuts, four different cereals, instant oatmeal, waffles/french toast, yogurt cup, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon/ham/sausage, fruit cocktail, fresh fruits (bananas/apples). The breakfast staff were very friendly and courteous.
We choose not to take any housekeeping the three days we stayed and kept the thermometer either off or turned way down, being mindful of our carbon footprint.
The hotel is located just off I-25, the Rockrimmon Road exit and in a quiet neighborhood a block from the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.
The area felt safe. Parking was plentiful. It's a short and easy drive to attractions, shopping, the interstate, the mountains.
We would definitely stay here in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are more quiet. Second floor is the main floor. First floor is a stair walk or el...

Stayed one night, and really enjoyed our visit. We we able to check in a little early, and the front desk staff was very helpful with directions (groceries, Starbucks). There were three of us staying in the room, so the sofa bed was used and thought to be pretty comfortable. We were able to cook a nice dinner in the room (no fast food!) and then had a nice breakfast - very good selection - something for everyone, for sure. Very quiet and we were easily able to sleep (no disturbances). We definitely will stay there again, as it was very enjoyable and I felt it was a super value as well.

When you book your room, ask NOT to be located along the train tracks side of the bldg. Surprisingly, the breakfast spread was decent. Not exceptional but, you won't go away hungry. If you're using more than one credit card to pay for the room, be sure to verify before departing. Staff dropped the ball on my attempt.

Overall the hotel was clean, breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating. The room was too small and bathroom clearly was too small as was the storage for clothes and no places to hang items (hooks)
