Although we had precise location coordinates of the park, we actually passed the entrance the first go around because their sign was below (and much smaller) than the motel sigh above. To compound the problem, the ingress was a bit difficult coming from the other side because of the angle of attack. However, we finally made it to the registration office.

A staff member eventually guided us to the site which was a back-in, which is typically no problem, but in this instance, the narrow roads and people encroaching on the roadways made setting up a significant challenge.

Once set up, everything went well, and a stroll through the park revealed good restrooms, and plenty of shade trees.

We had heard that a shuttle was available to travel through town, and asked the staff. They gave us a bit of information, but in retrospect, they could have been much more helpful as we had trouble finding the shuttle and eventually gave up in favor of our vehicle.

WiFi was not available, and cell phone service was non-existent so we were offline for a couple of days.

We apologize for the difficulty in locating our resort. We realize that the approach, visibility and signage of Garden of the Gods RV Resort is not ideal; something we have been a squeaky wheel about for quite some time. We can assure you that there will be big changes starting late 2015. Furthermore we have experience more business this year than anticipated and admit that our wifi bandwidth has not been up to the task, which is something we will again improve upon. We hope that you come back to see us again and we can give better direction to the Manitou Shuttle, a service that has been very well received among other guests.

WOW...I really thought this would be a different review. This campground was purchased last year with promises of creating a resort campground. And, last year after only a few months time to make those changes it was understandable that many of those changes were still not made. We returned this year with the hope that a year would have brought those changes. But the most needed still existed. The showers are in a much needed redo, not the decor but the showers themselves. Many of the open spaces that existed last year are now tent spots. The children play are is now reduced. And the worst part the sewer hookups are unacceptable. Next to our picnic table pad, only one step from our trailer was the sewer hookup for our neighbor. Luckily, we had neighbors that (like ourselves) removed the sewer line except to empty once a day. We had to cover it with rocks because after coming in I literally tripped over it not realizing its location so close to our trailer. After walking around we noticed the situation exists with several sites.

I realize that in comparison with the neighboring campgrounds and the crowds that exist in the Manitou Springs area changes do not have to be made to continue bringing in people. But, I believe that the company should change their web page advertising. I don't know about their other campgrounds but I don't believe you can compare this campground to a resort hotels. I do believe you have that potential with this campground but this family will not be returning. The only thing "resort" about this campground (at least right now) is the price!

Room Tip: If you can grab an end site to avoid the sewer hookup problem.

We appreciate your input as we further improve upon Garden of the Gods RV Resort. Although some of the changes that you may have expected (but not specified) may not have happened we can assure you that we do improve upon the facility year over year. We are well aware of some of the utility locations and will be addressing this issue most likely at the beginning of next year. Lastly, the children’s play area has not been reduced, in fact we will be adding more recreation to the property with plans of a pickleball court, basketball hoop and additional horseshoe pits.

Perfect location! Short drive or bike ride to Old Town, Garden of the Gods, Manitou, Red Rocks Green Space, and more. Friendly, helpful staff. Views of Pikes Peak. Lots of activity with friendly vibe. Look forward to staying there again!

Beautiful. Pictures you see don't do it justice. We stayed in the Garden of the Gods Campground about a 10 minute drive away. Very convenient and nice. Plan of hiking, biking, avoiding the tourist trap of a gift shop.

This is a beautiful, well maintained park. The sites are level and nicely sized and the bathroom/showers accommodations and locations seemed adequate for the park. There is a nice enclosed dog run area that was clean and convenient. Lots of wildlife (mule deer, racoons) in the early mornings and evenings. Even though it is near a very busy road, we found it to be quiet and relaxing.

This exquisitely-maintained, clean, centrally located RV park is ideal for activities in the surrounding area. Wi-Fi is touchy but usually works. We called the desk about a problem with our electric pedestal and Gary, the maintenance supervisor, was Johnny-on-the-spot and repaired a seemingly difficult problem professionally, courteously, and quickly. His friendly maintenance crew is obviously up to the task of keeping this fine facility in beautiful condition. The housekeeping crew has the bathrooms and laundry sparkling clean and all the machinery and showers work fine. The only negative was a front desk mix-up in our reservations. Training people how to do their job on a busy weekend might not be the best policy. Overall this place was great with a fine bar-b-que, clean pools and hot tub. There's horseshoes and a nearby walking trail to both Manitou and Old Colorado City. We will definitely be back!

First...its located right next to a Marijuana Dispensary. In the one weekend we were there a kid almost drown in the pool, we heard gun shots in the middle of the night, we saw a domestic argument in a motorhome, an old lady yelled at us for having a propane campfire, raw sewage on the ground, sewer line is on the wrong side of the trailer pad, dog poo wasn't picked up, bathrooms were so-so...there will be no returning. Never again. P.S. The BBQ was great though !!!
