“Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

We were attracted by the Chihuly exhibit, but the whole visit disappointed. Expensive for what was on display. Nice Indian artifacts exhibit, Chihuly was small and not very imaginatively installed. High point was the huge orange work hanging from the ceiling. The center has exactly one each of O'keefe, Remington, Chagall, Sargent, but only the Sargent is a first tier work. Drive another hour to Denver and visit the Denver Art Museum. The works there will enthrall you for a day or two, not just an hour.

“Chihuly exhibit disappointing & expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

This was the 4th Chihuly exhibit we have seen and among the most expensive ($20 each for non-member adults), even though it was the smallest of the four. The other exhibits were made special by the care that was taken in the installations, such as expressive lighting, painting on wall, mirrors and/or knowledgeable docent comments. None of that was evident, and while the glass works are nice, more spectacular works can be found elsewhere.

“Don't miss the Indian exhibit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

Pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. This Colorado Springs museum is one of only a few that is open on Mondays. Besides their permanent collection, they are hosting a Chihuly blown glass exhibition (additional cost) through September. But what we enjoyed the most was the Native American clothing exhibit including incredible bead and shell work, baby bundle holders, and headdresses.

“Impressive for small town Museum.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 January 2014

There are a lot of unique things in this museum. Haven't been there in a while, but always nice to visit. Not 5 stars because it is quite pricey. If new to C Springs area, would definitely recommend signing up for classes a Bemis School or Art, attached to museum.
