The shrine is a fascinating attraction that not only gives you a great view of Colorado Springs, it also teaches you a lot about the life of Will Rogers (the shrine's namesake), and Spencer Penrose (the shrine's builder, who is currently entombed in the shrine).
Unfortunately, because the only access road to the shrine goes through the Cheyenne Zoo, you must purchase full admission to the zoo to get access to the shrine. This is a great deal if you plan to spend the day at the zoo, but for me and my traveling partner, it cost us over $35 to spend a couple hours at the shrine.
Unless you have money to burn, or are Will Rogers buff (as I am), the admission price may just be too steep, which is the only reason I couldn't give this attraction a 5-star review.
