“Consistently top notch”
Reviewed 1 January 2013

Marigold's has been in our restaurant "rotation" for many years now. We went there with some friends again last night for our New Year's Eve dinner out. In spite of the restaurant being crowded with diners we were seated promptly by our reservation time. All five of us were impressed with the food as well as the attractive presentation of each plate--it takes a good chef to give you both and Marigold's delivers. I had my usual Escargots de Bourgogne and they came to the table bubbling hot just like you'd hope. This, my favorite appetizer, was accompanied by a quite good Cabernet at a decent price ($56), followed by an excellent Veal Scallopini, most of which I took home so I'd have room for a great dessert, this time the Hazelnut Torte. This dessert has a fantastic taste to it but it isn't loaded up with sugar--I find that most restaurant desserts are way too sweet. Marigold's seems to understand that just putting in more sugar is not how you create great desserts. What my wife and I particularly like about Marigold's is the consistency. We've never had a "bad" experience of any kind here, let alone a bad meal. Do get a reservation if you want to try it out because it is quite popular and one of the very best restaurants in the Springs.

“Excellent Food & Service”
Reviewed 29 December 2012

This bakery & cafe was more like a nice restaurant w/ nice table setting in a large room instead of a tiny coffee house. Could be OK to invite guests for a nice meal and/or having a group gathering. My husband and I had lunch on Friday. The room was packed, but, the service was very quick and efficient. We had onion soup, a special fish & green salad entree, and tiramisu& coffee. The food was very fresh, generous serving, well prepared with healthier choices, and so delicious! The selection of the desserts was wide with all kinds. Besides we really enjoyed the food, we were happy that the location was very convenient, close from I-25 exit, and close to the Garden of the Gods visitor center. This is our new favorite restaurant near to the Garden of the Gods.

“Excellent Food, Well-Presented”
Reviewed 29 December 2012

My wife and I made a stop at the Marigold Cafe for lunch on a cold, clear Colorado Springs day. Both of us had the salmon salad and a glass of Pinot Noir. The salmon was grilled to perfection. It was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The salad was spinach dressed in goat cheese and dried tomatoes dressed lightly with a vinaigrette. We would have been delighted to sample the great looking selection of French pastries on offer for dessert, but we just didn't have room on this visit. We're looking forward to trying the desserts next time.

“Domenique Rocks”
Reviewed 28 December 2012

We have enjoyed the wonderful cuising created by Dominique (A classically trained French chef who studied under Roger Verge' in Mougan France) since they first opened with a bakery and breakfast and lunch menu 20 years ago. Marigolds is a great place to share a meal with good friends becasue you will have time to talk. The food is well prepared and presented and that take some time but it is well worth the wait. The sauces that accompany their fish, fowl and meat dishes are superb. There is both classical French fare and also very creative cuising. It has the highest quality/price ratio in Colorado Springs. We recommend it highly.

“Always great!”
Reviewed 26 December 2012

The food is well prepared, and the service is very good. We've never been disappointed, and we are sort of picky about restaurants. Salads are always fresh, and the sandwiches are always great. We think Marigold might be the best/most consistent restaurant in Colorado Springs. It's certainly one of the best, and never a disappointment.
