“Beautiful room with even better views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2013

Had a great stay! The bed was comfortable, the room was lovely, the private deck with hot tub was divine, and the views from the deck were breathtaking. Don and Shirley were kind, helpful, and helped us with dinner recommendations. Overall it was a fantastic stay and a great place to relax.

Room Tip: Victorian Rose has a fantastic view of Pikes Peak and a private hot tub on the balcony.

Can't take much credit for the views - but they are spectacular from 7 of our rooms especially the 4 with private out door hot tubs. We are blessed to be situated where we are. Not only are the views wonderful but we're so close to them it's easy to get out and enjoy the bounty that Mother Nature has afforded this area.
I notice that these folks were from Littleton, CO, just up the road a piece. The idea of a stay-cation, has really caught on - you don't have to go far away to enjoy some quiet relaxation away from everyday activities and worries.

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight in the Victorian Rose room. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, the service was great, and the balcony with a private hot tub and view of pike's peak was awesome! We arrived late in the evening, but Don still gave us a warm welcome with a glass of wine and beer even though we had missed happy hour. We were also leaving early in the morning and missed breakfast, but Don made sure we had bag breakfasts with homemade muffins and some other snacks to take with us. We just wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Colorado Springs area!

Room Tip: Victorian Rose Room

It's nice when we can earn a compliment from guests who hardly stay at all. We do try, in little ways, to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated. It's our hope that these folks will come again and stay longer.

This is a great place to stay, I'm in a wheelchair and had absolutely no issues with accessibility. The breakfast, owners and staff were top notch. In a perfect location and a hospitable town. I highly recommend this B&B. They go out of their way to make you feel at home

Room Tip: Our room was on the third floor and was perfect, soundproof and clean

We had high hopes that our accessibility would set us apart (and ahead) of our B&B competitors - and it does. Sadly, most folks with handicaps don't even look at B&B's - too many horror stories of less than average accommodations because of stairs and first floor room locations.
We're thrilled to see this review it has made the ramp, elevator, roll-in shower and special alarm system worth the thought and effort.
People in wheelchairs have enough to battle without jumping hurdles just to spend the night.

Old Town Guesthouse was great for an over -nighter. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We walked to all the shops and restaurants. Don gave us a good idea for dinner. We had a delicious breakfast and stayed to check-in online for our return flight home.
The chocolate coins were a nice touch and surprise.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail - it's the little things that count: Fair & Accurate recommendations, Early Coffee, extended access to the premises, guest computer, WIFI and TV's are just a few things folks like to see (and don't like to ask about). We're glad we were on top of our game with these folks. We can't wait for their return visit.

Old Town Guesthouse was a great place to stay. The b&b was great with great breakfasts, happy hour and lots of things to do within walking (and running) distance. We stayed there without a car and either walked to eat or took the bus into town to a movie , even ran to the garden of the gods. A great place to stay for any occasion.

We don't get many folks without a car so we remember these folks. They was here for the Pikes Peak Marathon so the running comment is no surprise. We're sorry about the sleep quality rating, we love our water beds (and so do most of our guests) but no sleep system is perfect for everyone. (If there was a specific problem we'd love to hear about it so we can effect a solution.)
We look forward to seeing these folks back again.

What a pleasant experience. The entire staff was informative and very gracious. We were even provided a nice breakfast to take on the road as we had an early departure. I am an innkeeper myself and would highly recommend this lovely boutique B&B! The owners know how to provide everything needed for a warm and comfortable visit.

I can't say how nice it is to hear great complements from a fellow Innkeeper. We haven't enjoyed their hospitality but I'm sure they are every bit as welcoming as we try to be. It's the details, the little things that people remember and we're happy you took a memory or two away with you. (Hope all was well back at your Inn - we're always a bit nervous when we leave ours in someone else's care.)

My husband and I booked the Victorian Rose room for our first anniversary. The room is beautiful! Out of the rooms that were left open for a quick view, ours was by far my favorite. Off street parking, friendly staff, library full of books and movies to borrow, as well as menus for all the local restaurants are just a few perks. Our balcony had the perfect view of Pikes Peak as well as the tallest peaks in Garden of the Gods. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing and clean. The water bed was strange at first, but it didn't take me long to realize it was one of the comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. The 3 course breakfast was outstanding. We were served a fruit plate, a fancy glass of cranberry-orange juice, a delicious and warm date granola bar, a Scotch egg and side of cheesy hash browns. It was wonderful food served by Don himself! He also gave us sightseeing tips for the rest of our short stay in CO Springs. We were only at the OTGH for one night, and I can't wait to stay again hopefully next year!

What a nice recap of your stay. Personal service is what we do best and why Shirley and I still enjoy doing this after 8 years. Of course, having such wonderful guests makes that even easier. We hope you'll return to our Inn and, perhaps, stay a couple of days to take in all that the area has to offer.
