The Old Town Guest House recently changed owners, and they've not skipped a beat! Great service, great breakfasts, and wonderful rooms. And in one of the best parts of Colorado Springs! And also great touch with a daily 4-6pm happy hour!

My wife and I chose OTGH based on its ranking in TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The B&B is under new management, but Dave and Kim are doing a great job in their first week.

The room: We selected the Indian Paint Brush room, which is really a suite. There are two water beds (one queen and one twin). The view from the deck/hot tub is really nice. We had a good bit of cloud cover during our stay, but on the morning of our departure the clouds lifted and we saw the snow-covered Pike's Peak. The bathroom features two sinks, a nice shower and the fridge. There were two water bottles, two wine glasses, and two coffee mugs. There is a gas fireplace which we did not need in early June. Our only criticism of the room, and it's a minor detail, is that the flat screen television was tiny. Really tiny. But we weren't there to watch television so it wasn't a big deal. The suite was very clean. There were no mystery stains. There were no drips, creaks or other annoying noises. We're not sure if there were guests in the room next door, but if there were, we didn't hear them.

The location: The OTGH is great in a great location. It's really easy to get to and there is ample parking. We had a GPS in the rental, but would have no problems finding the place if we had to follow written directions. The OTGH is just a few steps away from the "main drag" of the Old Colorado City. So there are a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars just a few minutes away. And it's easy to get on Rt 24 to travel to nearby sites.

The staff: At the time of our stay, Dave and Kim had owned the place for about 8 days. So while they felt they were still learning the ropes, we didn't notice any issues. The breakfasts were delicious both mornings. We attended the beer/wine hour on the second day and it was nice to chat for a while with Dave and Kim and the other guests.

Room Tip: Indian Paint Brush is our only experience, but the suite had plenty of room, a great view, and we hi...

If you are going to be in Colorado Springs, you HAVE to stay here. This was the first time staying in a B&B for both my boyfriend and I and we are so glad we did. The view was great, Don and Shirley were more than accommodating and their recommendations were perfect. We will absolutely be staying here again!

Room Tip: The Oriental Poppy has a great view of Pikes Peak, along with a little piece of Garden of the Gods...

It felt like staying with family (at least those you get along with). I looked forward to a delightful breakfast every morning, and a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. A pleasant place to stay away from the busy traffic, near quaint shops and great restaurants.

Thanks Ed! We appreciate the review and the nice things you had to say. We'll work on the areas that didn't quite measure up as well. Hope to see you again - good luck on the move.

Everything you could ask for in a convenient location. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast quiche was excellent. I plan to return whenever possible.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Old Town GuestHouse, near Manitou Springs (Old Town Colorado Springs). They really made our stay special from the chocolates to the personal note left in our room!! We stayed in the African Orchid room on the 3rd level. We enjoyed the cozy hottub for 2 on the very private deck and kept warm by the romantic fireplace. On the second floor just off of the stairs is an area where they keep a supply of items such as aspirin, sunscreen, and personal care of all kinds!! This is a very personal touch and makes the place just like home!!! We arrived a bit late and missed the evening cocktail hour, but it sounds like a lot of fun! The house is very charming and easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed walking the town of Manitou Springs, a short drive away. The gourmet breakfast served by Don was AMAZING and we couldn't leave without purchasing a couple branded coffee mugs for a keepsake!! Best anniversary EVER!! Thanks Don and Shirley!!

It was our pleasure to be a part of your anniversary celebration. We continually strive to be the perfect place (not possible) and attention to the details seems to be the key. The problem is the sheer number of details. We're happy that we hit the mark with your stay and hope to see you back with us the next time you need to get away.
