We have eaten mole all over the southwest and even in the city where it was created, Puebla, Mexico, and my husband and I agreed that the mole he ordered at Las Palmitas was surprisingly good. It had just the right mix of spice and sweetness. I had a two-item combination plate; the chile relleno was made with a poblano chile, not spicy enough for my taste, but it was good, and the enchilada was good but nothing special. However, the rice and the refried beans were much better than on most combination plates.
The restaurant is in a commercial complex, which makes it seem a bit out of place. But once inside, you will find a very clean, inviting and open dining space with authentic food and good service.
