For Colorado Springs, this hotel was nice. A lot better than the Elegante which I stayed at for a week. It's 10000 better! Staff is friendly and the rooms are pretty big and smells great. Close to restaurants and a movie theater and not too far form the lake. Most of all, who can resist fresh cookies?!?!?!?!??!???!

It seems as though upgrades have passed this Doubletree by. I noticed several other hotels in the area that, from the outside, looked much better. For the price I paid, I still had to have an upgrade request for a fridge and microwave.

A clean and comfortable place, well suited to just about any kind of visit. Like most hotels there was not enough lighting in the room, but other than that it was just fine. A decent breakfast and spacious lobby.

This hotel is definitely a gem. The staff was so nice and accomodating. I came here for a wedding and the entire event was beautiful. The outside wedding was done elegantly and the reception room was just breathtaking. My room accomdations were excellent. The room was clean and it's furnishings was very modern. Will definitely stay again at this hotel.

It was our second time at the DoubleTree Inn. The hotel is nice and large and offers good amenities. The rooms are nice but in need of a soft makeover. All the doors are stiff to open and then hesitate when closing and then slam, light sleepers beware. The breakfast buffet is unorganized and the omelet station is staffed by community college students and the end product is more successful than not. The hotel has a large bar and features events. There is a small wine bar in the lobby area. The pool is clean and well kept.

We enjoyed our times at the DoubleTree and will stay there again, you just have to swallow hard on the rates you are paying. The rates are higher than all the other hotels in the immediate area. Of course most are the new trend in hotel hotels.... room and a centennial breakfast and that's it. If you want more in your hotel then the DoubleTree is it.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights for a class reunion. We got a discounted rate that was good for a Doubletree. We usually stay ay Hamptons so this was a step up. The hotel is just off I-25 and is close to many stores and outside restaurants. Our room was satisfactory and had a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom had nice toiletries with a small sink area. Everything seemed clean.

The hotel is large and rambling. Getting around is a challenge until you learn your way. The pool and fitness center are on the 1st level and the 2nd level is the main one. The atrium restaurant, the lounge, meeting rooms, etc. are here. Katie at the front desk was very helpful in explaining what is nearby the hotel.

We ate two night meals and several breakfasts in the restaurant. The food and the breakfast buffet were always excellent. The service was also great. I don't understand the complaints about the food. Jim was our server twice and was extra nice. The prices are a little high but everything else was fine.

There is a large pool and a large hot tub. They were usually deserted when I was there. There were a few dead insects in the pool but not enough to cause a problem. The pool is heated and was comfortable. The nearby fitness center was adequare.

If we were to go back to Colorado Springs and could get a reduced room rate, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: You can order from the bar menu or the restaurant menu (more expensive dishes) and have either serve...

The availability of balconies were limited, they did find us one though that faced the roof. The refrigerator door was broken. You had to lift one side then push it closed. The microwave and fridge definitely needed updating. They seemed out of place in the room. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was great. Even though we faced the courtyard and night club, you could not hear a thing. TV was great.
