“A little bit of France in Yorkshire. Tres bon.”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

We were heading to one of the local country houses with our friend and his children and we called in for lunch on the way... and didn't get to the country house! We all had two courses and drinks and everything was spot on, and the availability of a board game and packs of cards meant that we had a leisurely lunch with no need to go any further as the children were quite happy. Topped up coffee, no pressure to move out, very comfortable with its mismatched furniture and interesting nicknacks. Worth a visit. (Would recommend the Turkish delight ice-cream.... nam nam!)

“Disappointed!”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children and visited this cafe on a Sunday afternoon. It looked really nice and we went on the basis of the previous review. We were so disappointed - we decided to sit inside as it was a bit chilly. The table was sticky and the atmosphere was strange! The lady serving was pleasant enough but inside the cafe was a range of brick-a-brac for sale in a wooden cart! I think that it was meant to look like a French 'vide grenier'. However it was dusty and just looked odd, sitting in the middle of the room.
We had an ice-cream which were very over priced in £3.50 for a double cone!! On the plus side the ice-cream was very nice. It was interesting that when a group of people entered the cafe, who were obviously friends of the owner, she went out of her way to serve them, then disappeared outside to sit with them. When we left and walked by the group, she didn't even acknowledge us! Suffice to say we won't be returning-what a shame.

“A friendly cafe offering terrific crepes and galettes!”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

We popped into Deleaus Cafe at the beginning of the season and had a very enjoyable lunch. The cafe specialises in crepes and galettes - which were excellent - and also offers cakes, baguettes and ice cream. The cafe is brightly decorated and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.
