My husband and I had dinner without the kids at CB on Friday night and since we didn't have reservations we had a short wait. The guitarist in the lounge was terrific and the basil/cucumber martini was wonderful. We curled up in the comfy leather stuffed chairs and the time passed quickly. Our waiter, Paul, was very friendly, explained the specials and knew the menu. My husband really enjoyed his lamb. My pasta dish was good but the shrimp were just ok, they seemed to lack a char or grill, just barely cooked We made a reservation for the following night and took our two teenage boys who were very hungry. The place was packed and Wendy, the manager and hostess remained friendly, even though she had to help clear and set tables and help deliver food. She was in a constant state of motion. We had a long wait for our meal but the food was delicious. I had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, every bite was great. One boy had steak tidbits with Mac and cheese and he cleaned his plate. The other two had the flat iron steak and they love their steak rare but sometimes chefs don't get it right. The CB chefs cooked their steaks perfectly, charred on the outside, rare on the inside. Be sure and order the souffle when your dinner is served because they take 15 minutes. Our servers did not tell us about it but thanks to Trip Advisor we knew to order and we loved the Grand Manier/Pistacio Souffle. It was delicious. The only disappointment were the calamari, they were very small, although flavorful. Maybe we just got the bottom of the bag Wendy was kind enough to comp our drinks because we had to wait longer than usual for our meals. That is a sign of excellent management. We have no hesitation recommending CB Grille and we would go back for a third meal if were staying longer. Make a reservation. It helps the management properly plan for staffing and ensure swift seating.

We tried to eat there on a recent trip. They had about ten guests inside, but doors locked.

We had already planned to meet another person there, but were told they might close. That is why the doors were locke. No... Look at the menu... Wait for other guests so we could make a plan. It was only 7 or so.

I thought rude!

As others have stated in their reviews, this restaurant is attractive, has an interesting fine dining menu and seems to be the up scale choice for a nice dinner at Copper Mountain. We were all looking forward to a enjoyable evening. However, both the food and the service left much to be desired. Arriving for a 7:15 reservation, we were immediately told upon being seated by the hostess that we should expect slow service because they were busy with a large group. Our waiter followed up by introducing himself and quickly following with a list of items that were no longer available (including burgers which would have been a choice for our 15 year old son after a day of skiing). It's a bit hard to imagine how a restaurant can be out of burgers by 7:15. We all opted for the bison ribeye at $32 which was incredibly fatty and definitely not worth it. All in all not a very pleasant experience.

We (2 adults, 3 kids) had an excellent dinner on a snowy night when I-70 was closed. The atmosphere is upscale, so definitely no coloring books for the jr crowd. The host did a great job accommodating our family and our very wet coats and accessories.

The service (Anna) was top notch, food came out quickly and cooked to perfection. The host came back as we were finishing to make sure we were satisfied. We were in and out in 1 hour. Will definitely go back before our vacation is over.

We've eaten here fairly regularly over the years and the experience has been a little frustrating every time. It's a great location, the restaurant looks attractive and the menu interesting ..... but it's certainly not cheap, and somehow I've always left feeling that the evening hadn't lived up to expectations or the size of the check. I think the service has a lot to do with it. It's not that anyone is actually rude but they aren't particularly welcoming or interested. I always have the feeling that we are not really the sort of people who they were hoping would be eating there; are we too old, too foreign, not rich enough? Overall, probably the best food and ambiance in Copper but certainly at the highest price.
