“ok basic lodging -didn't get a "resort room"”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

for $300.00 we got a small room w/bath (w/tub) & flat screen tv- no frig- just the motel basics
parking was a pain...especially w/ski equipment & luggage- have to park underground & go
up 3 flights to elevators- ski lockers are in the entry hall (which is good)- no frills & rather
expensive- no concierge-the room we got faced the highway & was a lock-off room to a larger
suite -my suggestion.... ask what your getting when you book (both location & size of room)
and stay in Frisco @ 1/3 the price ...where all the action is anyway...you can drive in 5-10 min
to the mountain and park, take a shuttle & end up at the same ski entrance

Got a great rate for a 3-day stay midweek. Short walk to the slopes, underground parking. We used the childcare in the village which worked great but is hard to locate.

Our room was really nice 1br+den, recently renovated, and full amenities (rented via the resort using a specialty broker). Good laundry facilities. We liked being able to eat in with a bottle of wine from the package store. Stereo/TV were bizarrely miswired so I helped out :)

Slopes are dead during the week. Not much need for fastpass. Great, great snowboarding however.

We'll be back. Much more kid-friendly and cheaper than Vail. Somewhat cheaper and better snowboarding than Breck.

Arrived at midnight at Centre Village Copper Mountain Colorado. Firstly, all parking is underground but there was no space available for us and the car ended up at the other end of the resort, which meant we had to get the resort bellman to take us to it the following morning. The room we were allocated was supposed to be a "gold" rating. The room however was not what we expected. The bed was a fold down smack in the middle of the room. The actual room was quite narrow so we had to manouevre around the bed to get to the front door or the bathroom. We had to then complain and eventually were moved to a more suitable room in keeping with what we expected (and paid for). The resort ski hire shop was also at the other end of the resort with no parking available nearby. All parking is strictly controlled - permit only for certain areas - so this proved a bit of a problem getting and returning ski equipment.
The actual centre village does have a few nice shops but places to eat was very limited. As Copper is several miles from the nearest town - it all got a little bit boring after a couple of nights. Stable menu of either burgers or sushi. Endo's had a good deal on a Friday night for rib eye steak - the highlight of the week.
The actual ski trails were excellent. Wide and well groomed and we were fortunate to have lots of powder snow. Only criticism would be that some of the green runs were actually very steep and we thought they should be blues.

I stayed in the Tucker Mountain Lodge which is part of the Centre Village complex at Copper. The room was basic, but pretty spacious, clean and everything worked just fine. The fold down murphy double bed was perfectly comfortable. You're very near (2 minutes) the main Eagle lifts as well as shops and restaurants. All in all it's an ideal base to enjoy a really good ski resort. Bus transfers to copper from Denver airport can be arranged through the central resort desk. Takes about 1 hour 45 mins and not too expensive.

We were a group of six friends staying in two condo's, self catering with three in each, we travelled with Crystal via British Airways for a seven day trip to Ski Copper Mountain.

It was my first time, but some of the others had enjoyed this area before a couple of years before, they were so impressed with the layout that we all decided to go again.

I was not disappointed, if you are looking for a Skiing trip that allows you to Ski almost to your accommadation with very little crowds then this is for you.

The accommadation was excellent, enough room for three of us and a working kitchen that was more than adequate.

The mountain was in excellent condition and was a delight to find that most of the time you were Skiing on your own, be aware that we did experience more crowds at the weekend but we found out that it was due to a Bank Holiday (Presidents Day) so avoid this if you can when booking.

Apri Ski is limited as most of the reviews say, the Americans seem to have a drink and dinner soon after leaving the slops and leave the bars early, so not a lot of atmosphere.

I had to rent a pair of Ski's, the Crystal rep said that it would be $240, to rent for 6 days, which I thought was expensive, however due to my friends they told me that a second hand Ski shop was only a 30 minute bus ride away (all bus rides are free, so getting around is easy) in a place called Frisco, near the Safeway Supermarket, Ski's and Poles cost me $160 and they are of high quality and I would say a couple of years old, but they were great, I even brought them back to the UK, they have a huge choice well worth the trip.

I would highly recommend Copper Mountain and the Village at Copper for your accommadation, whether you are a Family, Couple or a Group of Friends.

Fun and Happy. Everything you're looking for with easy or hard levels of skiing. I ski on green runs so to get warmed up, i went on the bunny hill. about 25 feet long and barley even a hill. You go on a "magic carpet" and ur at the top. Keep on the bunny hill for about 30 minutes to get used to stopping, turning, and etc. Then their is a bunny hill called the "PITCHFORK" run right next to it. Trust me! Go on the PITCHFORK run! I went on it for my whole trip! A nice, short, easy run where you can see the end of the mountain so its just about 500 feet to the bottom of the lift which took me about 4 minutes to get to. As for food and entertainment, the main "COPPER ONE" food-court had a huge range of food and bands at night. Great experience. Lot of fun and great service.

The bed sags so badly my husband and I rolled into each other all night long. Whenever he would move the bed bounced like it was a water bed. The location is great as it's in The Village.
