“Very clean and quiet, great location”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

My wife and I stayed here with our infant daughter, in room 115. (Note that this room has one queen and one double bed. When we called, one person told us it had two doubles, and another that it had two queens.) Overall we were very pleased! Creede is a tiny town, and (to answer the one negative review here) there are trailers within view of the lodge, but we met no one but friendly, pleasant people during our whole stay. The room was large, with a vaulted wooden ceiling, and was spotlessly clean. All the rooms open to the outside, but this was not a problem at all. We heard no noise from the next room (which was occupied), or from outside, the whole time. The staff were very friendly, and the home-cooked breakfast had casserole, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and pastries.
The only drawbacks were that the beds were quite firm. This is the only reason I rated it Very Good instead of Excellent. Also, once the breakfast casserole runs out, it's gone! However, for the very reasonable price, we could not complain. I would highly recommend the Snowshoe as long as you don't need a pillowtop bed.
Also, there's a wonderful hiking trail that starts near the office! Ask at the front desk.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 115, across the road from the office. Very spacious and clean! Although occasional...

Taking a trip through Colorado it became late and we had not booked anything we pulled up to the Snowshoe lodge and it looked open but we couldnt tell, there was a note saying pick a room and we will settle in the morning so we did! I was surprised that the rooms were quiet and clean the heating in December worked perfectly as did the hot water! It was a great little place to stay and so glad I found it will be back in Summer..

This is simply a very old place. That said, it was comfortable and clean.
We needed to eat breakfast and leave by 6:30am the next morning so we were provided a coffee pot and freshly ground coffee for our room which already had a microwave and refrigerator.
I would hesitate to stay here again if I needed a place in Creede.

America is what it is because of business people like this! I am always hard pressed when it comes to booking rooms for my mine rescue teams, we are a large group and we are miners. We have actually been been rejected out of hand due to the large group and certain peoples prejudices against mining.
Not here brother, treated us like royalty and the price and accommodations are phenomenal. Nothing fancy, just good old down to earth service and a nice clean place to stay. I love you folks and must add: RAISE YOUR PRICES, you are worth it. (Right after my stay next week<G>)

Room Tip: Just give them a brief description of your situation, they will take care of the rest.

A last minute cancellation in Cripple Creek brought us to Creede instead. We were fortunate to get the John Wayne room. He had stayed there while filming The Shootist. It was a neat little bit of history. The room was great, as well as the home-cooked breakfast. Great place to stay.

This place is great!! Clean and Quiet! We stayed across from the office. Stan and Ruth are doing upgrades to the place and it shows. The Continental Breakfast in the morning was to die for. Ruth made homemade Cinnamon rolls, bran muffins and a breakfast caseral. Not your typical continental breakfast by far! Comfortable and great people that care about your stay. We will be back for sure! Oh, dog friendly also!

There are not many hotels in Creede, in fact this is the only one. There are 3 or 4 B & B's that fill up fast during the summer. This place isn't really a B and B, but it's in town and there is a great breakfast place next door. Creede is small enough you can walk everywhere and this place has a great location. They are very nice to hikers and helped arrange a ride for us up to San Luis Pass to hike the CT. Last year they were out of rooms but found us a place outside of town.

Room Tip: This is in the Colorado mountains and there is no AC. It's not too bad, but the south facing ro...
