The Elk Mtn lodge was great! That staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The hotel itself is clean and wonderful. Very comfy downstairs area to hang and great rooms. Perfect location to walk to main street, and super fun bikes to just grab and ride around town.

The Elk Mountain Lodge was the perfect location for our stay in Crested Butte. We walked everywhere and even went for a bike ride on the cruiser bicycles available at the lodge for guests to use. The room was very clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions about hikes and restaurants. There is a guest computer to use, which was a nice surprise, and there is an extensive library as well. It's a very charming historic lodge and I look forward to my next visit!

Hello,

My now husband and I stayed at the Elk Mountain Lodge during the week of our wedding in Crested Butte, CO. It is a historic hotel and it is completely charming. Our room was neat and clean and had a great balcony that looked over the street from the front of the hotel. I believe the other rooms on the floor look out to Mt Crested Butte!

The staff is acommodating and helpful with anything you might need or any questions you might have; and we had a lot: wedding dresses being delivered, items for pick-up, etc.

There is also a great breakfast buffet that is included in your room rate, which changes daily. It is a quick 2 block walk to Elk Ave (the main drag) where there are a bunch of great restaurants, bars, etc.

The Elk Mountain Lodge was the perfect spot for us to stay while in CB, and we hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay very much and will return and overnight at the lodge again.

The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms vary (we switched rooms a few times because we wanted to stay longer and there were cancellations) in size and quietness but overall they were all comfortable, very clean and felt like home.

We loved being able to easily walk from the lodge to anywhere in town or borrow one of the lodge "townie" bikes.

The included breakfast was fairly basic but good with a main hot entree and fruit, cereal, coffee, etc.

We felt relaxed and right at home the entire time - we loved it.

Elk Mountain Lodge has a very welcoming and "local" feel to it. The location was ideal (just a couple blocks to town) and the staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable in suggesting local biking and hiking trails. The breakfast was outstanding and Mike can make a mean Americano. A true B&B in the sense that really catered to your whim whether it be an afternoon made-to-order espresso or cookies in the kitchen at night. It was the perfect lodge for setting up a base camp to play in the lovely area of Crested Butte. We are headed back in July!

A delightful Crested Butte experience. This lodge is casual & comfortable & Mike & his staff are friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good & the new & bright dining area was a nice place to see & meet fellow travelers & hear plans for the day. It is so quiet at night but is just a quick walk to restaurants & shops in town. I knew this lodge many years ago. It has changed only for the better. The work done has been thoughtful to the character of the original but it is new & clean. Enjoyable!
