“Try the zip line”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

After a mix up with our reservation was sorted out we had a great experience with the zip line attraction. It involves a 1/4 mile hike up the mountain to start. It isn't an easy trek for flat landers, but the guide did give us two quick breathing stops. Super fun tour!

“The most beautiful place on earth.”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

The town of Crested Butte, the village of Mt. Crested Butte, the mountains, and the wildflowers all combine to make the perfect vacation spot. Our dream is to hike the Alps in Switzerland -- but if I never do, I can't imagine them being more beautiful than this area of Colorado. The only thing missing is the cows with the big bells on them:)

“Lots of summer fun here!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

We came here for a family vacation and had a fun time. You can take the lift up and then hike to the peak of Mt. Crested Butte or take one of the many hiking/biking trails down the mountain. We saw lots of pika, marmots, chipmunks, and even a fox on our hike. The easy trails were good for my 6 and 9 yr old. There is a cool little Putt-putt Golf course that cleverly gives a bit of history of the area. There is a rock wall, small bungee trampolines, and a giant air cushion you can jump on. The air cushion has an a weight restriction but there is a lower platform for smaller kids so my 6 yr old could do it. The Adventure Pass is a great deal and gives you unlimited access to the lifts and all these activities for a whole day. If you can find a promotional advertising card in a hotel or restaurant lobby, you can get 25%off the pass which makes it a great deal. I found the card at the Gunnesack Restaurant in Gunnison. Can't wait to go back.

“Very home town, ski town feel, loved it!!”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

We were here for almost a week during the summer and winter doing everything from skiing, eating, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, and basically anything outdoors you can think of. The mountain is great for beginners and dad can go catch double blacks in the afternoon. The base of the resort has decent restaurants and a free shuttle into Crested Butte where there are many good places to eat and hang out. The summer trip had river rafting and bungee trampolines right outside the hotel. I almost don't want to leave a favorable review because I want this place to stay untouched and majestic as long as it can.

“Downhill Mountain Biking at Mt. Crested Butte”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

July 2014. My wife and I rode the trails at Mt. Crested Butte and had a blast! Being our first time to ride downhill trails, we stuck to the green and blue trails (easy-medium). While you can rent mountain bikes at the resort, we brought our own. We were sporting mid-level hardtail bikes. A helmet is required and good quality disc brakes are highly suggested. This is a family friendly activity with people of all ages enjoying the mountain--in the summer you can mountain bike, hike, or ride the lift up, look around, and ride the lift back down. We took advantage of Free Fridays--an activity in the summer where the resort offers free lift rides on Fridays from 4:30-7:00 pm. This was a popular activity with lots of people and an excellent way to experience the mountain. We really enjoyed it!
