Okay, the beer sampling was in the afternoon, but since Chris ( proprietor ) is fond of making his own brew, he invites his guests to taste the Rocky Mountain microbrews most afternoons. This is in addition to having some of the best breakfasts my wife and I have ever had in a B&B ! The rooms are reasonably priced, for a resort area, but considering the brew and big breakfasts ( you won't need lunch) , the overall actual cost is super fair!! Rooms were nice and clean, and Jess who helps in the morning was also very accomodating to the guests. Chris always details what he spends time preparing each morning , and then courteously asks what the guests would like to do that day. Advice on hiking , fishing, biking, driving, weather conditions, etc. pour forth from his encyclopedic knowledge and love of the area. You won't need a travel book, he is a two legged walking travelogue and more than happy to give you tips on many of the area's hidden treasures. This is an area of Colorado, that even though it is obviously discovered, it still has the aura of the State 20+ years ago - worthwhile to drive a bit farther and get to this hidden destination ( where Mountain Biking began) , and this is the home away from home we would suggest you drop your bags at!
