Lovely, quiet, nicely appointed B&B with beautiful flowers everywhere. Perfect location, easy walking to distance to everything in town. Maps, books, hiking and biking info available at your fingertips. Delicious, healthy breakfast--something different every day. Excellent gourmet coffee, as much as you want. Cookies and fruit available at all times. Well managed by by a friendly, helpful staff with lots of ideas for restaurants and activities. Peggy Pharis Little Rock, Arkansas

This was our third trip to The Ruby in the summer and hopefully we will come back for more. Rooms are comfy and well appointed and traveling with 2 large dogs has never been easier. The folks at Ruby are very accommodating and our daily breakfast each day is filled with fun conversation with the innkeepers and guests. Plan on giving my married children a gift certificate to the Ruby for Christmas this year!

We had a couple scrumptious nights, a bottle of wine and dinner gift certificate from a most generous brother. Everything about the Ruby is so easy -- the fat tire bikes, the cookies and fruit, roses in the room, DVD's, puzzles, games, hot tub, backyard, coffee or tea whenever and a vintage Coke fridge with bottles of water, beer and wine. Of course they've got wireless. They just took care of us, Cassie especially. About 4:00 p.m., I was thinking that I should confirm our dinner reservations when a beautifully hand written note from Cassie slips under our bedroom door informing us that our reservations were confirmed with directions to the restaurant. If it weren't raining, we would have taken the bikes to dinner and Cassie offered headlamps! So easy. In the mornings, you appear at the dining room and immediately someone greets you and asks if you'd like some coffee or tea and the kitchen starts in on your breakfast. We explored the area with some breathtaking hikes (the Ruby loaned us a map) and even took in an outdoor bluegrass concert. The only downside is that we didn't book five more nights.

Room Tip: Room had everything we needed.

Our recent anniversary trip to Crested Butte, CO, was made especially memorable by our stay at The Ruby Bed and Breakfast. Everything was perfect-- the accomodations, the delicious breakfasts and daily, warm cookies, and the extremely helpful and friendly staff! Chris suggested SoupCon for our special dinner and was able to get us a reservation on Friday night even with multitudes of people in town for the Art Fest. What a wonderful restaurant! We had a truly outstanding meal that ranked at the top of many we have had in recent years of travels. This is really an exceptional Bed and Breakfast and far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning again and again.

My husband and I just returned from a very relaxing two nights at the Ruby. It was our anniversay and we decided to splurge a little on a B&B, and so glad we did!
I just loved the quaint, wonderfully decorated and clean rooms. It was very quiet and we slept great! The location is very close to the main strip and they have many townie/cruiser bikes for guests to use! I loved seeing my husband riding a pink bike!!
They have a great, clean indoor hot tub, and a beautiful back yard to read and relax.
Andrea and Chris are wonderful hosts and make the most fantastic breakfast and lattes each morning! They can give you great ideas for dinner in town as well.
If you like asian food and good sushi, we found that Lobar had a wonderful happy hour with $5 drinks, apps and sushi.
Secret Stash is also a must when it comes to unique and amazing pizza.
I also found a fantastic sandwich for lunch at Sunflower restaurant.
Our main reason for visiting Crested Butte each year is for the great mountain biking. It was nice having some local mountain biker advice on new trails from Chris and Andrea that we had yet to experience.
We really had a great relaxing experience and look forward to returning in the future!

Room Tip: Room 2 and 4 face east. So if you are a morning person, you will have beautiful warm sunshine to greet you bright and early. Those are also the queen rooms.
