Loved our stay at The Ruby! This is so much more than a bed and breakfast. Never have I met more friendlier people who's hearts are amazing as the mountains themselves. We instantly felt adopted into their family, the hospitality was something to write home about!

No request was too big or too small. I was going to say they went out of their way to please us. But it wasn't out of their way, it was "who they were" - 100 percent sincere and genuine without a hint of any pretence what so ever. A rare find!

We had many a conversation over the breakfast table as Chris (the owner) cooked us up a banquet fit for a king! His organic, creative, healthy meals meant that we often didn't need to buy lunch. Well thought out on his part, as he always seemed to be one step ahead antipating our needs for the day as we expelled our energy skiing the slopes.

The decor was beautiful, very well thought out and both homely and very charming. Warm and comfortable it was a treat coming home and snuggling up next to the fire with a good book in hand (which they had plentry of) or soaking in the hotub with a mountain view outside the window.

I don't think there is anything these guys hadn't thought of to make our stay as pleasant as impossible. Right down from the home baked cookies (baked on the premises) to the fresh fruit and nuts that were always in supply. Games for the kids, a video library, hot chocolates and as many teas as you can sample to tantalise the taste buds.

We have found friends for life and would love to come back! Please give this place number one priority when looking for somewhere to stay in Crested Butte, to over look it is to give yourself less than a holliday you deserve, you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: For a family of four we chose the upstairs room with a loft. We appreciated the space both upstairs...

We have stayed at The Ruby several times & each visit is as good (or better) than before. Chris, Cassie, Megan, Deb & Allison do a great job-from the outstanding breakfasts & coffee to the cookies in the afternoon. Everyone is so welcoming & friendly, not only to us but our two VERY LARGE dogs. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! If you are looking for a nice, cozy mountain get-away, The Ruby is the place to stay.

We go to CB every year to ski and usually stay on the mountain. I had two summer stays at The Ruby B&B that were top-notch so this year we decided to stay in town. The staff at The Ruby delivered another great experience! Superb breakfast to start each active day, spot-on restaurant recommendations, even directions to local snowshoe trails to try out. They have a locker on the mountain to store ski gear and we were able to catch the free bus up to the slopes without packing skis and poles. Top it all off with a relaxing hot tub experience without the crowds of children you find at the larger resorts. We meet interesting people at every stay and the staff makes us feel at home.

I visited the Ruby twice in 6 months... once in the summer during the Crested Butte Art Fair, and again in January to ski. It is a delightful B&B. Everything about the Ruby exudes welcome and comfort. The staff are so warm and helpful. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. At breakfast I met some fascinating people and we shared some wonderful conversations. I fully intend to stay there whenever I go to Crested Butte.

We enjoyed wonderful hospitality, accommodation and amazing breakfasts when staying at the Ruby in Crested Butte this January.
The rooms were super comfortable, with nothing overlooked. We felt so welcome and at home, we could have stayed on much longer if our trip would have allowed us to do so.
Chris, Cassie & Megan, you do a great job, not to mention the chocolate chip cookies!
Great thought has gone into everything at The Ruby.
Can't recommend you highly enough. Thank you for such a great stay.

As we planned our winter ski trip, looking at several locations in the western US, we decided that Crested Butte was where we wanted to go and The Ruby was where we wanted to be. Convenient to Mt Crested Butte and cross country trails, The Ruby has it all. Excellent hosts, delicious breakfasts, comfortable surroundings and proximity to downtown. After a long flight from NC to CO, it was nice to return to such a welcoming place. As a military family, we appreciate the hospitality and, of course, the discount that The Ruby offers. No other place can compare. As we plan for our next winter ski trip, The Ruby is, again, at the top of our list.

The Ruby of Crested Butte provided an excellent experience for our recent anniversary. Very comfortable and convenient. The staff was great and every detail was well done. Crested
Butte is one of our favorite towns and we would definitely visit the Ruby again. I would not normally have a large breakfast daily but I could not resist the fantastic selections every day. You won't be disappointed!
