I've stayed here twice during the summer, most recently in July 2013. Awesome staff, great price, the rooms are clean and plenty adequate, even when a friend stayed with us for two nights and there was a total of three adults. I love, love, love this town in the summer and while I have no other hotel experiences to compare to, this place fits my needs perfectly.

This is a great place to find in Crested Butte. Good location, very clean rooms, really nice and attentive staff. Family or solo friendly. Like others, small rooms, small bathrooms, etc, but you get great service and its cozy and inviting.

A well located older inn with great breakfast, a friendly and competent staff. Our room was by the back stairs which was great, the inn not as close to the bus stop as I would have liked, as I don't like walking far in my ski boots, and carrying my skis. For apres ski it's awesome since it's close to town, the grocery store, and Le Bosquet and Why Cook?!... my favorite places to eat. I would have liked to walk into town to shop more, but with all the snow they've had, the streets were icy or very slushy. I should have brought my own toilet paper; their's is terrible/rough. It's a long drive since we are so close to the northern CO ski areas, but thought we'd try Crested Butte this year as we haven't been there in a long time. Pleasant but a little boring skiing other than the double blacks which we don't do anymore! We would stay here again if we ever go back, but with our own toilet paper!

Room Tip: Our room was on the 2nd floor. Our creaky knees would have preferred the first floor, but a large fr...

I enjoyed everything about this place. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The bus stop was just outside the backdoor! Ten minutes to the hill for some skiing. The breakfast was fresh and coffee was hot!

I recommend requesting a humidifier. The high mountain altitude and dry air can be quite un comfortable for some. It will help you sleep

My wife and I stayed at the Old Town Inn on a ski trip right before Christmas and had a great time. The hotel is not large, the rooms are small, and the beds are average, but the staff, services, and amenities more then make up for it.
Though the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. The rooms are reasonably priced and it's only about 3 blocks from Elk Ave. (where most restaurants and shops are located). There is a grocery store across the street in case you need any essentials and a bus stop that will take you to the slops are well. During our stay we wanted to snowshoe and the owners provide us with snowshoes to use anytime during our stay for free (we found out that in the summer they loan out mountain bikes as well). The staff was friendly and provided us with great recommendations on where to snowshoe as well as restaurants to eat at, they even let us barrow a snowbrush to brush off our car when it snowed. The breakfast was simple, mainly pastries, hardboiled eggs, muffins, and fruit. In the evenings they had cookies, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee for their guests to enjoy. My only complaints was that it got a bit noisy the last 2 nights of our stay because a ski team was there, but when a groups not their it's quiet and relaxing.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Old Town Inn, and next time we are in Crested Butte, we will definitely be staying their again.

We stayed three nights beginning on Christmas night. The staff was helpful, and they obviously love working there! We always felt welcome. The location is walking distance to a grocery store which was nice because we were able to pick up some snacks and dinner one night when we were just too exhausted from our daytime adventures to go out to eat. There is also a trolley "bus stop" within walking distance from the back entrance to the hotel. This place was clean, warm, and very welcoming. We would stay again and recommend to others as well. The front desk can save you money on lift tickets as well and for early risers, the breakfast is ready at around 6 am, which was good for my family because it gave us a quiet meal together to start the day.

This is a nice independent hotel just on the edge of downtown Crested Butte. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who welcomed us and made suggestions for where to have dinner in town. Our room was on the second floor (no elevator) and it was large and nicely decorated. The room had a flat screen TV, good wi-fi, nice toiletries. No coffeemaker, MW or fridge in the room, but you can use the microwave downstairs. Coffee and cookies are available in the evening next to the lobby. Breakfast is from 6:30 - 9:30 am and is nicely presented with small quiche squares, pretty peach and strawberry servings, pastries, bagels, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. There's enough parking for the rooms and it's in a longish walking distance to downtown. You won't find any fast food places in Crested Butte but there are some nice restaurants. I'd recommend the Mediterranean Pizza at Brick Oven Pizza for dinner.

Though we offer one of the best lodging values in Crested Butte, we take excellent care of our guests. Our 33 rooms are spacious and spotless, most with two queen-sized beds (or ask about our king rooms or suite if you prefer). Rooms feature cable television with HBO, phones with voice mail messaging, wireless Internet access and daily housekeeping service. We also provide guest laundry facilities and fax service. We are located at the entrance to Crested Butte, right next to the Town Park, Center for the Arts, movie theater, grocery store and restaurants. We’re just a short walk from historic downtown’s shops and eateries and from cross-country skiing, hiking and biking trails. Just a few steps away, you can catch the free shuttle bus to the ski area.
