“Beautiful accommodations!”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed in a suite - there was a nice kitchenette area with cooking surface, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, so if you wanted to you could cook in the room. our room looked over the courtyard and gave us a beautiful view, from the small balcony. Check in was quick and informative, the underground parking was $20 but we thought worth it because it made everything more convenient to get in and out of the car. We ate at Butte 66 for lunch (try the mango chicken salad) and Kathy from Texas was a great waitress giving us a lot of local information we found very helpful. Truly enjoyed our stay here, and will be back!

One thing maybe worth mentioning - Mt. Crested Butte is over 9,000 feet elevation, and if you are from the flatlands, be aware that you MIGHT have some problems acclimitizing to the altitude, with altitude related symptoms, particularly if you come directly from lower altitude to this beautiful elevation. It can take a few days to get used to it if you have problems (please check out altitude health effects online), so if you come into town just be aware of the altitude so you don't waste time on your trip not being able to do what you want while your body adjusts. There's an oxygen bar in town, and my guess is it's there not only as a fad for folks who come into town. There's no way to predict if you will have problems, but there may be ways to prevent or ameliorate symptoms, so a little planning ahead may prevent problems once you get here, and this place is definitely worth visiting.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here on two occasions, both in August. The location is great, right in Mt. Crested Butte and next to the adventure park and two chairlifts that run during the summer. Parking is conveniently located in the basement of the property. The staff is very helpful, greeting us as we drove in and giving plenty of information as we checked in. There are several places to eat and drink in the complex, and the shuttle bus that runs downhill into Crested Butte picks up right in the courtyard every 20 minutes. The units themselves are beautiful and up-to-date. There are a variety of types of units, but ours had a full kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a living room and dining room, a washer and dryer, a king bedroom and TWO full bathrooms (one even had a huge soaking tub). My only warning is that depending on how you book your room, the fees/taxes/parking charges can cost almost as much as the room rate itself. If you can swing it, though, I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is perfect for the mountains. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Rooms are modern and offer a fair bit of room. Nice desk for working on the side as well.

Located in the heart of Mt Crested Butte, it's and easy walk from a ski slopes and restaurants.

We stayed here as a group and they were very accommodating for us.

We had a studio suite. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, view of courtyard was fun. Room was beautiful, amenities plentiful. Service was wonderful. Underground parking nice. If biking, be sure to bring a lock for the bikes in the garage rack. Bikes not allowed in rooms. Coffee shop in Courtyard, along with some restaurants.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are fun for people watching but at night someone could see in from some angle if cu...

Very nice room facing the courtyard where the restaurants are. Camp4Coffee is right there as is django. We walked over to the lift and went up the Silver Queen chair lift and then hiked to the top. Good hot tub - small pool. Nicely appointed kitchenette.
Only annoyance was a motion detector light in the laundry closet that went on every time you moved in the bed so we covered it with a towel.

We arrived in Crested Butte w/o reservations; we looked at 3 different lodges on the ski mountain, and also looked at 2 different rooms at The Lodge before deciding to take a corner room with a wrap-around deck at The Lodge. The rooms vary incredibly because many are owned by individuals and it's not a typical hotel-type building. Both of the rooms we looked at had king-size beds, but the rooms were very different from each other. Our room had a small 'kitchen area' with a microwave, small refrigerator, a coffee maker, and a few glasses & cups (no plates, utensils, dishwasher or sink) - but it came in very handy.

The room was spacious and clean with no perfumes or funky odors. Since I have allergies, this was a necessity for me; the kind staff explained that all rooms must follow the cleaning protocol for The Lodge even if they are individually owned. YEA! So nice to find a place that doesn't try to mask their lack of cleanliness by spraying the room with some awful perfumed fragrance.

We slept with the windows open even though all rooms have central a/c. The wifi was free and worked well in the room. Parking in the underground garage was extra, but well worth the price. Very well lit, clean, and convenient. Bed was very comfortable also.

The staff was friendly & helpful during every encounter with them.

Great coffee shop and restaurants steps from our room. So glad we stayed here!

We stayed at the lodge four four nights during Crested Butte Bike Week. We chose the property because we like having our own kitchen and because my sister would be joining us for two nights and we wanted the extra space. It is located in Mount Crested Butte Resort, which is a couple of miles from the town of Crested Butte. There is a convenient shuttle every twenty minutes to town and back.

The property appears to be quite new, 2008 i think. All public spaces are very clean. The square outside the hotel offers a Coffee/Snack shop and the excellent Django's small plates restaurant.

The rooms (ours was a two room mini suite) are very nice. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable (we like our beds firm) and my sister had no complaints about the sofa bed in the living room. There are black out curtains in both rooms which help as there was a fair amount of ambient light from the hotel next door and the square below coming into the room at night. While we were not there for in room entertainment we did appreciate the large flat screen TV in the main room and a smaller flat screen in the bedroom after a long day in the mountains.

The kitchen was great; clean and very well equipped (it even had a blender). Most of the kitchen apparatus appeared to be unused; even the oven was spotless.

Service was top- notch. We had the best of hotel and condo living as the staff not only cleaned the room every day but also washed and put away the dishes. The front desk, concierge, and porter staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

Keep in mind that parking is an additional 20$/day. Also, if you are set on a view take care about your room choice. Our room (206) overlooked the square and the shuttle stop.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property.

Room Tip: If you want a view be careful of room assignment.
