The hotel was very nice and the rooms are large and spacious and the beds were comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because some of the staff in the casino just didn't seem to care about customer service. Maybe it was the casinos fault for having such a skeleton crew. One person was bartending and running drinks to patrons playing table games and slot machines. So there were times when we went to the bar and there would be no bartender for 5-10 minutes. Other than that we had a great experience. I highly recommend the restaurant Dynamite Dick's! Excellent breakfast and dinner and very reasonably priced plus you get discount with your players card and the hotel gave us 2 $10 off vouchers for their restaurants so that helped. Also they were running a promotion while we were there. If you earn 250 points playing they would give you a free stay - we ended up staying 2 nights because we got a free night. Overall I would stay there again.

Had a great stay at this hotel. We got the handicap room which had a large bathroom. The room itself was OK. This is an older hotel along the gold rush days located in the casino district with a casino downstairs. The dinner coupons were a nice surprise and lead to a great dinner downstairs for almost nothing. The flat screen TV was in the corner and extended for a good view. The windows don't have any kind of view but that was expected in this old building design.
The only issue we had was the altitude (9000+ feet). I had no problem but my wife did. She also doesn't do stairs well. The hotels are built on a sloping hill so it was a bit of a struggle for her but there were ways to avoid the stairs available.

We booked a king room and switched (same cost) to a queen because the elevator going up to the king room was broken and we would have had to lug our bags up the stairway. The room is very small. The hallways to get to the room were narrow and like a maze. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Pillows and linens were okay. Towels were moderate thickness but not very soft. The room is so small there is no room for night stands. No place to put my bottle of water at night except the floor. Large flatscreen tv and a one cup coffee maker in the room. No closet but a rack on the wall by the door. Soaps and shampoo are in a dispenser on shower wall. We stayed on weekdays so received a discounted rate of about $59. For what I paid, I'm happy with the room. They have a large parking garage in the rear with access to the front desk from the fourth floor of the garage. Cripple Creek is a cute western flavor town with a lot of casinos and a few shops. This hotel/casino location is right in the middle of it. Breakfast across the street has 49 cent offerings (I forget the name). There are a few Pokemon stops and a ton of Pokemons in the area (if you're into the game)

Room had two queen size beds. One bed was 'hard' and one bed was 'soft'. Lots of great pillows. Roomy bathroom with large counter. Bathtub. Nice hot shower. CLEAN!!!!! Spacious with seating area and a work table. View was of parking area.

Room tip: Any room should be good as one spends most of their time in the Casino!

We visit CC a few times a year for an overnight stay and have never had a problem with comp points or coupons. The hotel has been updated through the years with our last stay (Sunday) being the best yet in Room 404. Bedding was comfortable & clean plus NEW fluffy towels (replacing the scratchy ones). Asked for an extra pillow and got it immediately. Yes, there are limited outlets in the room...but honestly, not going there to set up shop. Yes, there is a single cup coffee maker conveniently located in the bathroom...that's where the water is! The bathrooms have long vanities so space is not an issue. Vending machines and ice on each floor. Great covered parking, easy access to hotel and casino without braving the elements. Dynamite Dick's is our favorite restaurant, good menu, great food and servers. We will be back. Check out Bronco Billy's Steakhouse, always a treat!

Room tip: We prefer rooms on 4th floor as they have windows. Noise has never been an issue on either floor for us.
