This is an old historic hospital which has been converted into a B&B. There are rooms in the old part of the building, and there is also a new wing. We stayed in the new wing and the room was very nice. Each room is named for the function of the room in which it is located. There is an Operating Room, Quarantine, Isolation, Labor & Delivery, Nursery, ICU, Doctor's Office, Nurses Station, Imaging, etc. We stayed in Imaging. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is that they provide shampoo and conditioner. I did not bring my own and had to use the hand/body soap, which was not ideal. The provided breakfast was nice. There is also an RV park located on the property. We were there during low season, so I don't know if the RV's would cause any issues or noise. The old part of the building is very cool and fun to explore. We were told by a number of people in town that the B&B was "very haunted," but we had no experiences other than my husband being woken up by some mysterious tapping sounds. Then again, we aren't really believers, so maybe the spirits didn't bother with us. LOL! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the staff for being so wonderful and friendly.

Room tip: There is the original hospital building and a newer addition. Also, there is an RV Park.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience! As you noted all rooms bear the name of how the room may have functioned when once a hospital. The Operating Room is original to 1901, including the brass foot-pedals in the scrub room. We very much appreciate you taking the time to provide your recommendation.

Awesome history to this place! We stayed in the old "operating room" and normally I'd be scared but learning the history was really neat! Perfect place to stay especially if you just need somewhere nice to sleep at night while you're enjoying Colorado during the day! Super nice friendly staff and very clean rooms! If we ever come to this area we will be staying here again!

Beautifully decorated rooms in an old hospital. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Since it is located several blocks from the casino area, it was quiet. We even saw deer grazing on the hillside just outside our window. A nice continental breakfast was served the next morning. Would definitely recommend.

Well kept place, all kinds of antiques. Hard to believe that it used to be a hospital. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great stay! The hotel is a little ways from the gaming areas, so it was not only beautiful, but quiet and peaceful.

Formerly the Teller County Hospital built in 1902, it is now a One of a Kind Hotel! If you're looking for a place to relax, this is the place for you! What a peaceful, beautiful place!
