My Mom passed away 2 years ago & my 93 year old Dad moved in with us. We don't get away very often but our son who lives in Boulder offered to take care of my Dad on our 39th Wedding Anniversary. I wanted to find something unique but close to Colo. Springs so I looked at the reviews in Trip Advisor. At first I was s little apprehensive looking at the pictures - a High School with antique furniture - could they pull this off? Since almost all guests had rated it with fives I thought we would give it a try. Winnie & Gary you went well beyond my expectations. This was the best & most luxurious B & B we had ever stayed in. Thank you for saving this historic building & doing it in such a magnificent way. We stayed in the Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Room. We loved seeing all the pics - brought back so many memories. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave it for breakfast but glad we did. Breakfast was home made but served like a gourmet meal. We were encouraged to walk around & tour the school. I wish we could have spent more time every room was so interesting & tastefully done. Whenever we can get away, I hope we can return to Carr Manor. We missed meeting Gary but hopefully next time.More
