First, the atmosphere is eclectic. Very different design, kind of hip.
The food is good but different. Boar Burger on pumpernickel, porkerhouse, which tastes like a salty ham. Great smoked trout, which tastes like smoked salmon. Catfish with fried dill pickles. All interesting and not your common fare. Dinner for 6 $300.

Had a very good breakfast complete with a couple breakfast cocktails. Very nice decor in lower level . Very good service with average value. You can pick less expensive items on the menu but you might want an explanation from the staff as to what you are ordering. Great place if your in the right mood.

We visited for dinner with some friends who live in Denver. My husband is a chef, and we wanted a locally owned restaurant serving chef-directed food. We were not disappointed. The mussels were excellent, as were desserts. The service is also excellent.

This place also has the strangest bathrooms I've ever seen. It is worth visiting not just for the food :)

While trying to be unique - much was lost in the word. The decor was lovely (woodsy and artistic). The WCs were a challenge. Hard to find the doors since they blended in with wood paneled walls. The sinks are outside the WCs and I could not figure out how they worked for about 2 minutes. All the patrons could see that struggle.

The menu: we were there for brunch. The listings had unique name with very few explanations. Monkey Brains? Not a good choice for a cinnamon type bun with walnuts and a sauce. I had the Barking Dog (no dog of any kind present). It was a small Cheese and fresh spinach omelet (very good) with three corn fritters (also good) to be dipped in a cheese and tomato fondue. This fondue was the turn off. It was watery and tasteless. I asked the server to advise the chef re the fondue and his response "that's the way it is". Wrong answer. The rest of the party ordered other uniquely named dishes. No one was impressed. Don't waste your time or your money unless you wish to gawk.

What an interesting, creative, well designed restaurant. Based upon how it looked, I had high expectations for Beatrice and Woodsley. But unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The best thing was the beignet appetizer. And it was downhill from there, reaching its nadir with the dessert. So so risotto, a mediocre hen, gamey bison burger, and on and on..... Disappointing. And our server was bored being there - not the least bit attentive. We were a bother.
