Our family of 4 stayed at the Hotel Monaco Denver, in mid May 2013. We had two rooms (a 2queen room and a 1king Monte Carlo Suite) for three nights.

First impression: sophisticated and welcoming.
Cleanliness: five star!
Staff: professional and warm!
Lobby: eye catching.
Guest rooms: colorful and unique.
Restaurant: upscale, fast-paced and flavorful.
Location: great for downtown events/activities.
Departing impression: wanting more....

This is a funky and quirky luxury hotel. We never saw a spec of dust! Extremely clean hotel - lobby, elevators, rooms, everywhere, spotless! Seven days a week, the lobby offers wine and neck/back massages from 5-6pm. Staff members are above average - Pleasant and involved, concerned with your enjoyment! Goldfish in the room (must request) is a fun offering. Both rooms exceeded our expectations. Atmosphere and decore are sophisticated yet off beat...lovely. The view from the 2 queen room was less than desired - parking ramp. However, the view from the Monte Carlo Suite was very nice - city skyline and street activity below. This is a recommended hotel, we will stay here again!

I was in charge of planning a college girls reunion weekend in Denver and wanted a fun boutique hotel and this more than fit the bill. We only get together about every 4 yrs and have been doing it for almost 20 yrs! The girls were so impressed with the pick. Between the decor and all the extra touches we felt special. We had a birthday and some recent personal tragedies when we arrived and they sent up a bottle of champagne. We did ask for the fish which was fun and named her Lulu. We enjoyed the hosted wine hour 2 evenings before heading out, where they also had a massage therapist giving 5+ minute chair massages. One evening the bar at Panzanos (excellent restaurant, also ate dinner there another night) was packed during happy hour and we asked if we could order and take it up to our room, the waiter said he didn't see why not. When our food was ready he said, "let's go ladies" and followed us up to our room. Throughout our stay we had excellent customer service and I would definitely stay in a Kimpton hotel again. The only minor trouble we had was the wifi in the room, but that may have been b/c 4 of us were trying to be on at the same time with the same login??? Oh, and I did sign up for their free 'reward' program prior to our visit, which I would recommend as it gives you $10 for the honor bar and free wifi during your stay. I could go on, but overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We asked for and received a room away from the elevators where it was quiet. I also asked to be plac...

One night stay in early February for an unexpected business trip. I arrived very late and had forgotten contact solution, the front desk went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed even at the late hour. Room was very clean, comfortable. Room service was quick and friendly. Close to downtown areas. Staff was excellent, printed my boarding pass, found me band aids for my shoes, etc.

I love all Kimpton Hotels, but the one in Denver is particularly my favorite! Located 2 blocks file in the 16th Street Mall and within walking distance to the convention center, this hotel's staff and amenities are excellent. A little pricey, though Expedia's vacation packages make it affordable. The decor is always beautiful - worthy of Architectural Digest - out room was a stunning suite! And - my two favorite things: 5:00pm complimentary wine and hors d'oeurves in the "Living Room" (lobby) and the pet friendly goldfish that was in our suite!

Love it!!!

There's an attitude at the Kimpton hotels, and that attitude is customer satisfaction. The Monaco in Denver is as good as any of the stylish chain's locations at making people feel special. The more you stay there, the better they get at knowing what you want and getting it to you. My wife communicates with the chain through Facebook, and they respond to her in a one-on-one way that is quite amazing.

Nicely decorated rooms, warmth in feeling, problems fixed with a "no problem" attitude.

Priced well within its niche, but with customer service that rivals hotels twice the price, it's a no-brainer that if you're going to stay in Denver, and you want more than four walls, a bed and a bath, this should be on your very short list.

Room Tip: Call ahead and tell them what you like, they'll try to make it happen.

We decided on Hotel Monaco for our one year anniversary and it was the best decision we could have made. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most charming and friendly staff and notified that our room had been upgraded to a suite at no additional cost to us. When entering our room, there was a bottle of champagne and a wonderful card written by the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. The rooms are very well appointed and are unique in design. There is even a yoga mat in each room and animal print robes!! This hotel really went above and beyond and there will be no other choice but Hotel Monaco next time we look for a place to stay.

I've done quite a bit of travel over the last five years. While I am not always the pickiest person on where I end up staying, I do occassionally feel the need to go above and beyond in treating myself to some extravagent comfort.
Kimpton has proven to me time and time again, that they really "get it" as far as making a guest feel right at, if not better than at home. From the door person, to the maid service, every one of the staff has been fantastically welcoming to me on my stays. In particular, they have tended to staff the front desk with only the best when it comes to customer service. If I have a need, it gets attended to, and every effort made to accomadate.
In particular, this Denver branch had an excellent decour, with the room (626) being absolutely exceptional. Spacious, chic, and well rounded, my friend and I found ourselves in an absolutely blissful state. Coming off a semi rought day, the Kipton turned it around and helped push it to a transcendent evening.
Special props go to the front desk lady, "Lauren" who was working the evening 4/28/13. Fantastic. You helped our experience cross into another level of awesome. Thanks again for all your attention and help.

5/5. If you need a place that makes you feel like you deserve, and don't mind putting out a few extra pennies, don't bother doing any thing other than a Kimpton.
