We didn't take a tour but it was fun to see the red marble throughout the building.
They say its all the red marble in the world.
Wonderful architecture also.

Very intricate decorated architecture! The best part is they provide a wonderfully informational guided tour for free. The tour guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the information they share and welcome questions. My husband and I took a group of international students and they seemed to enjoy the tour too. Highly recommended, a great tour for children, teens and adults.

We just really stopped to take a picture in front of the capitol. We were going to go in, but didn't have the time to spare since all of the surrounding parking is paid meters. Parking in downtown Denver is annoying! There's also lots of homeless people walking around the capitol. I don't normally have a problem with that, but there were so many and some of them looked a little scary.

Enjoyed the one hour free tour conducted and had opportunity to hear wonderful facts about the uniqueness of the building. Although it is currently under renovation the inside is still lovely. The building has many similarities to the Capitol in Washington but in respect to hierarchy some minute differences. The inside of both chambers reflect the history of many of its pioneers and recent trailblazers in a setting conducive to conducting state affairs. Quilts were on hung on display throughout the building as well as dancers which gave the capitol the feeling that it was for all citizens. Thoroughtly enjoyed the docent's presentation.

The Colorado Height University and the Rockies in Colorado make me think of making it a Pilgrimage think like for myself and Family in the future when is completely settled as everything about it makes me feel heaven on earth and my kids will one day make the Colorado Heights University part of their educational facility.
