Keep your kids close this is a maze. lots of cool displays and Denver/ Colorado history. Didn't like the upcharges for other features and exhibits, its not much more to just up the ticket price and include everything?

“Nerdtastic!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014

I teach science for a living, so when I use a personal day to go to a Nature & Science museum, I mean business. I took an intense number of photos of ideas to use in class. It isn't as spectacular as NYC's Museum of Natural History, but that's only because this is on a smaller scale. However, if you love rocks and minerals you should absolutely visit! They have wonderful specimens on display and I could have spent all day in there.

It costs $11 to get in, but you get a discount if you show your student ID. I would call ahead to see if there are field trips when you're going because I wanted to trip loud obnoxious kids all day.

“Dependable dinosaurs and fun special exhibits”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

The normal exhibits they have up are reliably fun. I personallly like the dinosaurs the best, but trying to dock a space shuttle on the space station is also lots of fun. Many hands on exhibits keep the interests of kids and kids-at-heart. The special exhibits are well-done. "Body Worlds", "Titanic",a nd "Pompeii" were especially good. Parking is free (always a plus) and the cafeteria has lots of options.

“Mayan exhibit worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Today, Easter, we went on the 11:15 self guided tour. Great time to go...do not go on weekdays unless you want the company of very many grade schoolers. Allow about 2 1/2 hours. the exhibits have been well arranged, they flow chronologically . Good interviews on TV screens with experts. interesting facts about these ancient people. in some ways pretty advanced, in others stone age.

“Worth the fight for parking...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Parking was horrid. But they offered a wonderful military discount. Many of the exhibits were packed. Great third floor exhibits. Good second and average first. Worth the stop.
