“Cute little place to visit.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Many different displays to check out - something for everyone. Pictures ARE allowed now, provided you do not use the flash. Small place, but very low entry fee and friendly docents/staff. Nice to visit.

“Very nice museum”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

The museum is located in an old house. It's not very big but is packed with toys, dolls, miniature items, trains, doll houses, and more. Nice gift shop selling miniatures as well. Pictures (without flash) are allowed and don't forget to check out the biggest teddy bear in the world with its family!

“A fab afternoon out!”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

The staff were great and the collection is really interesting and fun to look at. No matter how old you are there will be something from your youth! I was disappointed however that photos are not allowed.

“Cute but small!”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

The guys went to the Forney Transportation Museum so us girls came to see this museum. I was bummed that you couldn't take photos at all. My daughter did the scavenger hunt and enjoyed it. We couldn't see part of the museum because there was a private tea party going on.

“A nice little museum”
Reviewed 12 June 2013

We found this described in our hotel literature and it sounded like an interesting place. Apparently it's not as well known as some of the others--our cab driver had a hard time finding it. Then when we arrived we found it closed on Tuesday. Undeterred we set out again on Wednesday, and again our cabbie could not find it. When we finally arrived we found it to be a charming old historic house. There was a lot more emphasis on miniatures, and not as much on dolls and toys. I was hoping to see more of the metal toys from the 40s and 50s, but all in all, it was a very nice museum! The staff, I believe mostly volunteer, were very helpful and informative. I recommend this as something just a little off the beaten path, and quite enchanting.
