Owner description: A modern stadium with an old-fashioned feel, this is one of the National League's first new parks built exclusively for baseball since 1962.

We were there to see the Rockies play the Reds.
The stadium is very typical.
Beer is seven dollars - a hot dog and fries 10.50.
There are very cheap seats in the centerfield bleachers.
Parking is a little bit of a hassle.

I would have loved to find some Japanese or vegetarian options. If they are there, I couldn't find them. Gorgeous atmosphere on a summer night. Merchandise selection is a bit underwhelming.

Nice baseball park. In the outfield they have trees and when the home team gets a homerun water shoots up in front of the trees.

The Rockies aren't doing so well this year but the stadium is always fun. Lots of things for the kids to do, healthy salad bars, new bar and grill on top stadium level. Just a fun atmosphere for all.
The food in the stadium is very good, drinks nice and cold. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house!

Enjoy the game with the entire family.

First of all -- only four stars because I'm a Chicago fan. Wrigley Field is kind of a dump, but as a baseball experience, it's only equaled by Fenway. So there's that.

If you're in town, though, put this place on your list. It's a gorgeous canvas of the game. Spend the extra few bucks and sit in the club level, which might be the best value perch in all of live professional sports for taking in the entire experience of a game. In most parks, you'd need to have your nose in the CEO's bizness to get a seat like this, but at Coors Field it's open to anybody with 70 bucks to spend. Get seats tight to home plate and you can even eavesdrop on the pressbox and broadcasters.

Figure that in to the ease of navigating downtown Denver and the developing scene around the park, and hopefully---if this team ever finds its way again----this might be the St. Louis of the West again (okay, I hope not completely, but hope you get the idea). Go and have fun at the park.
