I did not see the garden during the day - I'm glad that I didn't because due to the time of year, it appears that a lot of the greenery was not green. The Blossoms of Light exhibit was beautiful! It was a colder evening but still walkable with a light coat. You don't want to miss the lights if you're around during the holidays!

The Denver Botanic Gardens or DBG to locals is one of the gems of Denver. Acres of gardens, water features, and seasonal sculptures. Every season is special. Spring and early summer are filled with tulips, peonies and flowering trees. Don’t miss the Japanese Garden and lovely delicious cafe near the lily pad ponds. Picnics (and your own adult libations) are allowed if handled tastefully and maturely.

Memorial Day Weekend is a busy time to visit the gardens, but they were as beautiful as ever. Iris were in bloom all over the place, in so many varied colors. Gardeners were out and about working, and the gardens are big enough to handle the crowds. The Gardens should be visited at many times of the year to see varied plantings.

We had prior commitments for late afternoon. Wanted to do some in the morning. It was a perfect day for botanical gardens. Lots of walking on paved, dirt, stepping stones and/or uneven ground. But always away to avoid rough areas. Saw lots of strollers and wheel chairs enjoy the gardens.

The botanical gardens were beautiful. We went early because it was supposed to be a very hot day and heard parking was hard to find if you waitwd too long. The staff was courteous and helpful. The gardens were so beautiful with nice places to sit down and enjoy the views. There were signs indicating where you were, it was well laid out. We really enjoyed it.
