My wife and I stayed here for three nights in connection with a convention at the adjacent Colorado Convention center directly across the street.

Check-in couldn't have gone more smoothly - it took less than a minute! This hotel is less than a year old so it has a leg up on most of it's competition. The rooms were typical Embassy Suites great - two flat-screen TV's, comfy couch and bed, etc.

The fitness center had plenty of Precor cardio equipment and all-in-one strength machine as well as 3-4 benches and dumbells. There was a large television in the center of the room and the individual cardio machines had built-in tv's of their own. The indoor pool is adjacent to the fitness center. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't a steam room or sauna but those are typically high-maintenance so I don't fault the hotel for opting not to include one.

The included full breakfast buffet each morning was flat-out outstanding. We've stayed at around 10-12 other Embassy Suite properties and this breakfast was as good or better than any of the others.

My only negative comment is that there was typically a 10 minute wait (line) to get a beverage at the nightly cocktail reception. Two bartenders operated behind a small movable bar that measured about three feet across. At least allowing guests having only tap beer to pour their own refills would go a long way towards cutting down the wait times. Apparently, management hopes that the long lines will encourage some to forgo the freebees and go instead to the hotel's adjacent full service regular bar that's open for business ($$$). Prices in the bar and restaurant seem on the high-side to me ($14 at lunch for a grilled cheese sandwich).

Still, all in all, we loved the hotel and had a great stay.

Have stayed at many Embassy Suites around the country - this was the most modern we have ever seen. Because this is the big city, there was a $28 charge for valet parking. No way to get around that. You thgemn take elevator to fourth floor - everything is there - registration, breakfast/happy hour, gym, pool, business center and in house restaurant. Also a very modern area with tables and chairs to sit and talk. Breakfast/ managers hour were usual ES fare. What impressed me were all the televisions you could watch while eating... Like a sports bar (if you like that). Though there are many good restaurants in the area, if you're tired and just want to grab a bite, the food was excellent - had a steak and some calamari. The steak was $25 .. could have been fairly priced at $17. Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly, and of course getting that USA Today (and font desk has local Denver paper and WSJ) is always a nice perk. Bsiness center had several desktops, and had plenty of supplies!

Room Tip: Always picka room away from the elevator. Less noise!

I stayed at this hotel for work. We had a convention at the Convention center just across the street. The rooms are nice. We were there for 4 nights. Each room has a living room area with an HD TV, a couch and a small table/desk. The bathroom is a decent size and the bedroom has an HD television. The hotel has a Starbucks. They also have a two hour reception each night with complimentary alcohol and appetizers, along with a complimentary hot breakfast including made-to-order omelettes each morning. The staff was very friendly.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are suites. The only thing I would say is most of the rooms open to the inside where the breakfast is served. However, the bedroom is in the back, so I never heard noise coming from the open area. If you are a very light sleeper, you may want to ask the front desk which room is best to avoid hearing the noise in the morning.
