Denver Restaurant Week gives us the opportunity to try new places. We chose Big Easy because we love New Orleans-style food. We were not disappointed. Started our evening with Hurricanes that actually had rum in them (never a guarantee when we eat out). The oyster appetizer was wonderful, light but the shellfish flavor came through. The Gumbo was spicy, and had a lot of substance to it. The side corn muffin complimented it well. The Red Beans and Rice was just the right level of creamy, hints of green pepper and perfectly-done rice. The bold Etouffe had a generous helping of shrimp, and crawfish, but I was not adventurous enough to tackle the intact one. Desserts were excellent - portion sizes perfect for our appetites. The server was charming and just the right combination of attentive and discrete. The only downsides - our table by the door suffered the occasion waft of teen-degree weather, and the noise level took some getting used to. That said, we will definitely return. All in all an excellent place to indulge your inner Cajin.

If you like Creole and Cajun food this is the place for you. It has only been opened for three months so it is new but an added addition to the restaurants in Cherry Creek. They have a great drink menu like Sazerac, Gin Fizz, Pimms Cup--classic New Orleans drinks. They also carry Abita beer and wine. The fresh oysters are very tasty. The gumbo was full of flavor. They also have turtle soup in season. The crawfish and shrimp etouffee has just the right spices. The red beans and rice which my husband ordered had great flavors. The stuffed peppers were great. They also have fried chicken that hits the spot. They have deserts like Bananas foster beignets as well as Profiterols and whiskey bread pudding. They have a large bar area with a flat screen TV. We have visited this restaurant twice and will definitely be back.

First time in Denver for me. This great eats place is located by Cherry Creek Mall area. My wife and I saw an ad in one of the local handouts in the hotel that we were staying at. I love Cajun food, so we thought that we'd give it a try. I am glad that we did. I had the Crawfish Etouffee
and she had the beef Poor Boy with the coleslaw on it. Both were excellent. The Etouffe had just enough hot bite to it that really brought out all of the flavors. Doug, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Good selection of beer and wine. They had a band during the Brunch time that we just missed. Nice comfortable atmosphere. We are only in town for a few more days, but we are going to make a point to visit again before we leave.
