“Always Great”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

If you haven't been here, you must go. We've been coming in here for a few years now as our downtown Denver tradition. We usually take the train down and try 3 places and Kevin Taylor is usually one of our stops and we share several appetizers and dishes. Again, last Friday night was outstanding, ate at the bar, four of us and shared several items, a favorite is the egg yolk ravioli, duck special and the crab soup, A must have!
We were told that the hotel is remodeling in a few weeks and Kevin Taylor may not re-open? Say it isn't so! If you have to close temporarily we only hope you'll re-open if not there then another location? DON'T LEAVE US!!!

“Butternut Squash”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

I had a lovely time at this restaurant. The butternut squash pasta appetizer was to die for. I am still dreaming about it! I raved about this place to a friend who said this restaurant might be closing? It's a shame because the food and service was really delicious. I will follow the chef where ever he goes!

“Off night?”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

We live out of state but anytime we are in Denver we try to have at least one meal at this restaurant. Until this time we had never had a disapponting dish little less a meal. We normally order the set menue and perhaps should of this time but instead I started with soup and with wife with a salad. J's saiad was very good but my soup was a disappointment. For our main course she had lobster and I had fish. The fish was over cooked and her lobster covered in a sauce that niether of us found to our liking. Now while I can't say the sauce was bad, other may have found it wonderful, I do know when a piece of fish has been cooked a bit to long.

The room is very nice, one of the more romantic in downtown denver, and the service was good but the meal disappointed. At $200 plus, with wine but only two courses, I don't expect three of four dishes to disappoint and certainly don't expect anything to be overcooked.

Jsthosuton,

Thank you for your continued patronage of Restaurant Kevin Taylor, and for taking the time to write this review. We apologize if you found your most recent experience to be a little "off." Please alert your server if this ever happens again, as we are always happy to replace a dish with another if it is not to a diner's full satisfaction. “Just not good”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

Went here over Christmas and was thouroughly disappointed. The service was pretty bad, which seems to be a common theme in some reviews. Just seemed to take forever before we had any drinks and the place was not busy at all. The food was all extremely bland. Everything sounded tasty on the menu, but when we tried it we all agreed our dishes just had zero flavor. Couple all of that with the prices and I can honestly say this was one of the worst dining experiences. Just nothing good to take from it at all.
