We have dined at Piatta four times now, twice each time we've visited Denver. I have to say, the first meal we had there in August of 2013 was by far the best. Everything from the service to the food was exemplary. Since then, it's been a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes the service has been uneven or we had a long wait even though we had reservation and other times, the service and ambiance has been first rate. Didn't seem to matter whether it was a weekday evening, a big group or a Saturday night, it's just been kind of a toss up. Same with the food. In general, most of the table has been happy with the food, but my dinners have been inconsistent. Have ordered the saffron pappardelle twice - once fantastic and once almost indelible - go figure. The chops and specials have been consistently good, however. Even though it's been up and down, I would still recommend giving this place a try if you're in the Cherry Creek area.
