Great atmosphere. Terrific for a date. Loved the lobster fondue. Service is normally very good, but my last time it was a bit off. They served us another tables meal, but they made it right.

Overall the atmosphere and quality of food at La Fondue is great. It is a nice place for a couple of family to meet with a very nice wine selection available and a wide range of meats to cook. They have an exotic meat selection including elk and deer that is very good.

The service was okay but not outstanding. There were times were we were sitting with empty glasses for 10-15 minutes which isn't great. When we did get service however it was very professional.

Like other fondue places, this one is a little on the expensive side but nothing outrageous.

When we arrived we were seated right away at a table a child could squeeze into. We were moved to another section. As the dinning room was seating only 1/8 of it's tables, we had plenty of others to choose from. The waitress came, brought our drinks and disappeared for a half and hour. We asked two people if they could let her know we were ready to order. We watched them try find our server with no luck. We then asked for a manager, our server came flying out of the back, apologized and took our order. We thought, now things will get moving....that was not the case. Our salads came, our food came and she dissapeared again for 20 minutes or so while we so desperately needed refills and realized some of our meats were missing. This was finally corrected and we thought surely we were over the hump, but then we waited 20 minutes or more after the meal was finished and once again had to ask someone else to fetch our waitress. At this point there were only two other tables in the whole place that were seated, both being waited on by different staff. Our dessert was finally ordered, and wasnt warming. We asked four people over 15 minutes people including our waitress of the burner was on, that it wasn't heating but getting cold and hard. She finally took it to the back and we asked for our check. Our waitress informed us they would be taking $20 off for all of the hassle but never took the time to speak to us. This was not out first experience with fondue! We are frequent flyers, so the cook time is estimated to take awhile. It shouldn't be a half an hour before your wait staff check to see if things are right.... Good food, terrible service!

FYI - Happy hour specials only at the bar - even though we asked about specials we were never offered bar seating but there were other kids seated there. We asked about sitting at a "window" table and were told there were reservations - we were there at 430p - the place was empty!! Those tables were empty the whole time we were there.

Incredible deal for some great food, but we didn't allow enough time so were a little rushed at the end. We had a TravelZoo coupon that saved about $65. Started with a wedge salad and a traditional Caesar both very good. Next was the cheese fondue with 3 cheese and wine that was good consistency but not very flavorful. The meal fondue we chose the french cooking oil blend and two overwhelming trays of choices from lobster, ahi tuna, scallops, sirloin, chicken, filet mignon, veggies. It was all very good and tender. You really need to pace yourself particularly with the cheese fondue at the start. We ate until we were almost full, having room for dessert. I then cooked all of the remaining items and had them boxed to take back to our hotel refrigerator. The chocolate fondue was really good and so much of it! We ended up taking a lot of it back to the room as well. One of the things that was nice was the noise level. The design with booths different levels of seating softer surfaces made it quite pleasant and easy to talk.
This was the start of a birthday night on the town, dinner, concert and stay over downtown. No DUI for us. What an incredible coincidence our server, Sasha, works La Fondue as her second job. Her first job is at the Soiled Dove Underground where she had just had lunch earlier in the day with the group we were going to see, Paolo Nutini, a 27 year old that won't be playing small venues like this much longer we predict. Since we were talking about KBCO and music on a lark I tried the Dave Mathews Dream Tree red that turned out to be excellent. Sasha told me it would be available at the Soiled Dove as well both for around $10/glass a fair price for wine this good. We really enjoyed Sasha's conversation and expertise.
This would be a great place to go with another couple with plans on spending at least two hours. I noted a rather harsh review calling the main course "dog food" I have included pictures where you can judge for yourself the seafood selection of lobster, salmon, Ahi Tuna, scallops and various meats. Too bad auroracham had a bad experience
