“Disappointing Restaurant in a Beautiful Hotel”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

I ate lunch at the Ship Tavern at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver in August and was disappointed. I had an $18.00 Cobb salad and it was terrible. Maybe the lettuce is supposed to be iceberg only but I expected more. I also had a very ordinary French onion soup. Overall, I found the food mediocre and overpriced.

“Buffalo Burgers”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

This was the first time my husband and I were visiting Denver and this restaurant was in one of the itineraries we were looking at. The main reason we wanted to eat here was to try a baffalo burger. It was very good and the service was also great. The restaurant is inside The Brown Palace Hotel which itself is very nice. If I visit Denver again I will definitely eat here.

“Surprisingly mediocore”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Hubby and I ate lunch here today - very disappointing. I ordered a French Dip - it came on an open large face bun, floating on gravy. The beef was awash in more gravy and piled on the bun, served with a small bowl of au jus. There was no way to close the sandwich much less pick it up (much too soggy) so used a fork to eat the meat. The au jus was useless. I've never had such a bad French Dip. Hubby had a pastrami sandwich which he said was good but served with sweet potato fries that were barely warm. The restaurant itself was lovely but quite noisy. We were very surprised and disappointed with the lunch and would not go back considering the somewhat high prices - we thought the Brown Palace would have been so much better.

“Really Good Food and Service”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Excellent prime rib and seafood here. Had great service. It is loud, so if you want intimate conversation, this is not the place. Top notch service and very attentive.

“excellent late night food”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

the truffle fries are a must. Salads were really fresh and shrimp in the pasta tender and huge. But what makes this really unique was the live singing by other patrons. Really fun, has a very vintage feel
