“Relaxing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2013

Right by the Botanic Gardens, nice place to picnic on the lawn or walk. Beautiful pavilion sits in the middle of the park. Read up on the history of the park and its significance beforehand, or just visit for a relaxing time.

“Nice for a day in the sun.”

Great place to have a picnic and play some volley ball or frisbee. Known for a GLBT friendly park. Great spot for some family portraits too!

“Former Cemetery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2013

Cheeseman started out as a cemetery, but a majority of the bodies were removed to make way for the new park. Aside from the ghostly inhabitants who still remain, the park is largely patronized by the LGBT community. While visiting the park, take a stroll along the tree lined paths, check out the Cheeseman Memorial and fountains, and venture into the surrounding neighborhoods to view some of the historic mansions.

“Huge playground for younger kids.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2013

My older son even enjoyed the playground. It is a great place to walk with a shaded walkway. It is well-manicured and comfortable.

“Nice city park with good open spaces”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 January 2013

There is a great spot to view the front range from the white columned sem-circle. Imagine what it would have been before the high rise buildings were built. It usually has a lot of great energy
