“I seem to be alone here in not raving about this hotel”
Reviewed 16 July 2010

First, the good things - the hot water is almost instantaneous, and the water pressure is unbelievable. The staff is consistantly great -- A+ to all of them. The location is the best, expecially for conventions. But.... I just felt that for the money, the room could have been a little better maintained. The room was a little small, so there is no room for a free standing table, instead it's on rollers and slides under a counter that is part of a big piece of modular furniture that shouts "hotel" all over the place. The orange chair was shabby enough that Goodwill would have trouble selling it. The dramatic and (probably) expensive desk chair had a nasty looking stain on the seat that I won't really say anything more about. No refrigerator. The air conditioning was not adequate to the room. Mostly, I guess, I just felt that at nearly $200.00 per night, we were paying more for location than for anything else. I'm saying that I would recommend this hotel, but it's a half-hearted recommendation. Next time I'm in Denver, I'll go to the Brown Palace. Oh, in case you're wondering, the quote outside the building is from John Ruskin.

Great overall experience. Frontdesk staff corrected a reservation error made by the online travel agent. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint, which is really more of an observation, is that the thermostat was located too close to the one air vent to allow the room to cool properly. Having said that, I plan to return next time I'm in Denver.

Stayed at Hyatt Regency Denver @ Convention Center for a conference across the street (literally) at the convention center. Hyatt offers speedy kiosk check-in and advance e-mail registration, if you prefer. Check-in at front desk went well & quickly. Room was clean, modern & nothing in need of repair, w/ a great view of downtown, the Broncos stadium & the snow-capped Rockies. Internet (wireless or Ethernet) is $10/day. Comfy bed and powerful shower. Fast & plentiful elevators. Complimentary Wall Street Journal newspapers at elevators. Shoeshine person in lobby. Ordered room service one night & was told when the latest the food would arrive (about 30 minutes), & the food arrived right on time. Called the given extension to request the tray be taken from the hallway where I put it. Gone within a few minutes. Room service doesn’t happen that way in other hotels. Multiple restaurants, including a bar/restaurant on the 27th floor. Hotel offers many ballrooms and conference rooms. During the conference, there was a distinct verve throughout the hotel. Great central location for restaurants, etc. This Hyatt rates a definite return visit.

I stayed at this wonderful Hyatt (I love Hyatts) in May of 2009 for a nursing conference. The hotel was a few quick blocks to the main downtown area. The bars served up NICE drinks, the food was great, and the service was spectacular. I had a great window view overlooking the city. The rooms are finely appointed. Room service was fast and effecient. One drawback was the high cost of wifi. I still can't understand why the cheap hotels offer it free, and the $250 and up hotels want to nickel and dime you for internet. For that, Hyatt lost a star! :-)

I did have a slight issue with my breakfast one morning.. Later that day when I returned from conference, I had a note from the manager under my door and was given a $25.00 food/beverage credit. How's that for service!?!

Otherwise, you can't go wrong at this hotel. Downtown Denver is always hopping and there was an event almost every day I was there. I would walk a few blocks, enjoy the fun and dine at the host of restaurants to suit any budget.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. Every employee was incredibly nice and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel's amenities (24 hour coffee shop, restaurant, boarding pass print station, fitness area) were really nicely done and useful for travellers. The location was fantastic, right by the convention center and also a block from things to do. The rooms were very nice with great linens and fixtures. Not one complaint. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or leisure travel and hope to stay again.

We stayed in this hotel during our annual AIHcs convention May 22-27, 2010
We have stayed at many hotels over the years but have found all Hyatt hotels excelling in comfort and hospitality. The staff go to great length to make you feel at home.

The room we had was spacious and ovelooking Rocky Mountains. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and room service was prompt and reasonably priced.

Thank you for the kind words - we certainly enjoyed having the AIH group with us and appreciate your business. It means a great deal to us that you prefer Hyatts!
