“Fantastic, deco movie theater”

Landmark's Mayan Theatre

They show unique, indy, or art house films usually. Gorgeous theater and I love that you can have a nice glass of wine and a bit of chocolate for snacks!

If you have long legs, the upstairs theaters will get a bit cramped near the 2 hour mark. But all 3 theaters are beautiful, and having a full bar is a nice change from popcorn :-) All selections are independent movies, but usually more of the popular showings.

Historic theater. Restored and supported by local residents. Owned by Landmark Theaters. Great selection of independent films. Fun part of town on Broadway Avenue

I'm a fan of Landmark Theaters in general and definitely enjoy the fact that we can have drinks for our movie! We had tickets to PJ20 - the single showing of the movie by Cameron Crowe. First, the theater is cozy, and decorative. It is a nice size, plush seats, large screen and intricate decor. I also love the energy of the crowd there and they are not afraid to cheer - it's encouraged! It was also our first time to SoBo as well - great place to have dinner and drinks prior to a movie!

First of all their movie selection is top notch for quality films. Secondly, the building itself is a true work of art, unlike any modern movie theaters. This is the best movie theater in Denver and probably my favorite anywhere else as well.
