Our son told about Castle Marne and recommended it for a recent visit. It was only a couple of blocks from his apartment, so location was ideal. It is in walking distance of several great restaurants and shops. We have stayed at B&Bs on other occasions in various cities in the U.S, and Castle Marne was one of the nicest. The food was wonderful, and the owners were friendly and accommodating. Our room was a bit small, but clean and comfortable. We would consider a larger room the next time. Their story about how they "rescued" the house and painstakingly restored it over the past 20 years is truly remarkable!

Ahh, what a nice review, thank you. How convenient that the Castle is just blocks from your son's place. Thank you also for mentioning our restoration and renovation. We often get caught up in the day to day of running the B&B and forget what the house was like when we bought it. The building had been abandoned for over 8 years, the plumbing had frozen and burst and ran for 2 weeks. The damage was appalling.

We invite guests to look at our scrap book with our before, during and after photos of the reconstruction. Occasionally I catch a glimpse of a photo over a guest's shoulder and the memories come flooding back. This August 1st marks our 25th year in business. The Castle will be celebrating 125 years and the state of Colorado will be 138 years a state. We're having a big party that day. Stop by between 4:00 and 7:00 for an old-fashioned ice cream social complete with a DixieLand Jazz Band.

If you can't make it, send your son over. We'd love to have him stop by. Enjoy your summer and we look forward to having you back again someday soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Castle Marne! We felt very comfortable and at ease, yet pampered. The food is some of the best you'll find anywhere. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. Be sure and allow them to arrange a private car for your trip to and from the airport.

What a lovely review, thank you. And thank you for mentioning the private car service to and from the airport. We just started offering this to our guests. It is less expensive than a taxi and more than a shuttle, but you get a private car delivering you straight to our door in style.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Castle Marne and hope you'll join us again the next time you are traveling through Denver.

Castle Marne was located in a quiet neighborhood in Denver. It was centrally located to all attractions around Denver. If you are looking for an excellent B&B, you found will love this one. Formal morning breakfast was delicious and lovely. Afternoon and nightly tea a great addition to end of a vacation day. The rooms and house look just as it is pictured. The only issue I had was that the old house does creak and you can hear the other guests on the floor above which unfortunately for me was a honeymooning couple one of the nights. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and inviting. I was very comfortable staying there as a single woman. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in an historic home.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your stay. The Castle is close to great things to do and fabulous dining. I'm sorry to hear about the "honeymooners" upstairs keeping you awake. Our apologies. The Castle was built to last and has held up well these last 125 years. Seems as though some of the floorboards could use some work however. We'll look into it.

We appreciate hearing about this issue and thank you for bringing it to our attention. Come back and see us again soon.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Castle Marne. The location was great for easy access to downtown sites and simply centrally located for many activities across the front range. Room was comfortable and hospitality was great. Food was good. My only "complaint" would be that my wife has a gluten allergy and they made note of it at check-in but did not actually serve her a gluten free breakfast each morning.

Thank you for your review about your stay and about how close we are to great things to do in Denver. As far as special dietary requests go, we pride ourselves on remembering which guest needs what or can't eat that. Obviously we weren't paying very close attention during your visit. Please accept our apologies. We invite you and your wife to come back and enjoy some of our delicious gluten free breakfasts. Again we are very sorry and look forward to winning you back.

Please mention this TripAdvisor review so we know to make a special note on your reservation.

My husband and I had never been to a Bed and Breakfast, and did not know what to expect. Not only was the Castle Marne as beautiful as the pictures online, the staff bent over backward to make us feel as special and welcome as anywhere we have ever traveled and stayed. I felt that we were treated like family in this family-owned residence, and we were honestly sad when it was time to leave. We happily anticipate a return visit in the future!

Room Tip: Ask for one with a hot tub!

"An Unexpected Pleasure". What a wonderful thing to say about us. We are pleased to have been your first B&B and are thrilled that you enjoyed yourselves. There is something special about stepping through our doors back in time, a time where tea is served at 4:30, homemade cookies await you later in the evening, breakfast is served with fresh picked herbs from the garden. There is something special about sleeping and dining in a 125 year old National Historic Landmark.

It is our family's privilege to share our home with travelers from every corner of the globe. Thank you for making us your first B&B. Don't be strangers, come back again soon.

The owners/hosts were extremely helpful, the location is great, breakfast is charming, as is the building itself. Only doubt I might mention is that there is no AC in the room I stayed in, and luckily it cooled off with the ceiling fan at night, but I worry it might not be adequate in hot weather.

Thank you for mentioning air-conditioners in the room. Colorado and Denver's weather changes very quickly. It is always a challenge to determine whether to install the air-conditioners for the odd 80 degree day, or wait until after the blizzard the next day. Our weather fluctuates between the low to mid 80's, to snow and freezes until Memorial Day. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Otherwise we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. It is a challenge to create recipes that a wide range of tastes will eat. It sounds as though you liked your breakfast. Sometime soon, we'll have a cookbook ready for sale. Let us know if you'd like to pre-order one now.

On behalf of the family and staff of Castle Marne Bed & Breakfast, we look forward to having you back again soon.

Great downtown location. Close to great restaurants, and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic! Oh, and the fresh baked cookies before bed were a nice treat! The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the decor was very charming.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor, and the room had a spa tub. Nice!
