Our connecting flight was cancelled out of Denver due to weather and could not get on another flight until the next morning. The Timbers Hotel was wonderful!!! We received the airline discount and spent the night in a King Suite at the Timbers Hotel. The room had a full kitchen, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in, the room decor was high end, the staff were all top notch and the restaurant on property was great! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!! If we're ever in the Denver area again, we would definitely stay at The Timbers Hotel.

Room Tip: The Suites are very large with full kitchens

After having an awful experience at another extended stay hotel, The Timbers has met our expectations. An actual refrigerator/freezer vs a little mini-frige, multiple tvs, adequate space, as well as a separate bedrrom was a welcom upgrade from the previous garbage hotel we had booked.

We did a walk in rate, which was very competitive. It was only a few dollars more for the week than the dingy Crossland Denver-Thornton hotel which had just two beds in a regular room and a really small tv.

Room Tip: If booking a longer stay (more than a week), ask for the walk in weekly rate. It was significantly...

OK I travel all the time and stay at all ranges of hotels and this time Delta Airlines put me here because my fight had issues.

1. it is far as all can be - 24 minutes to the airport, now most DIA are far because the nearest hotel exit is 7 miles so expect 11 minutes minimum.
2. shuttle - they only have one and the owner of this property also owns the microtel which is closer and they leave every hour on the hour ONLY. make sure you make a reservation, there are signs posted all over checkin about that fact.
3. checkin - all reviews are correct the girls that do checkin are just not friendly, i read them ahead of time and tried to do my best to be nice but they are just cold faced and not customer friendly.
4. management does not respond to reviews, that alone is a major issue for me.
5. Rooms - the 2nd floor is adequate, tv is nice, room is large and mine was clean so the reviews online that say otherwise i guess on any day anything can happen. my room was fine.
6. see picture - so the hotel has room service but the have dominos pizza on their room keys, why?

there is a ton of competition in this market and many places that are much closer, push comes to shove for 15 more a night you have do much better.

the hotel has a ton of potential but the manager has just not done their job, there are a few little tweaks that can elevate this hotel dramatically.

This was our first time at The Timbers. It is obviously an older hotel, but in nice shape and they seem to be working on updating it. We had a huge room with a full kitchen, dining table & chairs, a couch and chair in the living room and a separate bedroom. It was great. Very roomy. The room and bathroom were clean and well kept. The bed was comfy and we slept very well. The bathroom had a roomy shower. No tub, which was no big deal. The only inconvenient thing was that the bathroom has a pocket door, and it was not the easiest to pull out. The door needed a little attention. The lobby area is nice, and comfortable to sit in while waiting for the shuttle. You have to make reservations for the shuttle, and you definitely want to be on time. The shuttle is convenient, and there is a 5 mile radius and if you want it for other transports, you need to be willing to work around the hospital & airport shuttles. Make sure you get your reservations in for the airport shuttle. It fills up quickly and they pick up at a 2nd hotel. The shuttle driver was very accommodating to us. The hotel location is a little remote. It costs about $25 to get to downtown in a cab. There was a manager's reception in the bar/restaurant attached on Mon-Thurs. You get 2 tickets from the front desk. Nice bar and nice bartender. We had a good time there. This is also the area where you get a free breakfast. Again, asking the front desk for vouchers. Very generous breakfast with hot and cold items. Definitely worth dropping a couple bucks in the tip jar. We had to ask for the drink & breakfast tickets each time, they were not offered. The front desk staff is not the friendliest or most helpful, but a couple of them did an OK job. One of them acted like we were bothering her. The hotel could use some new carpeting, but they seemed to do a good job keeping it clean. Not that it matters, but it appears there are a number of people living here as well as it being just a hotel. We gave a 3 for service, because there were other people who did a good job, aside from the poor service that was provided by the front desk.

It is hard to write a harsh review, but I feel like this site is here to provide insight. We arrived in Denver early in the morning, and stopped by the hotel to see if we might be able to drop our bags. This hotel did NOT look like it was at capacity, and though I know it was well before check in time, in my experience, if a room is prepared, they are happy to let you check in. This was not the case. The desk clerk did not check our reservation or our room assignment at all and just told us that the housekeeping staff would not even be there for a couple of hours!
At any rate, we went off and spent the day with our son, and returned around 9 PM. Again, there was no indication that it was busy AT ALL. The gal assigned us the room right next to another person who had just checked in. When we got to the room, my husband opened the door, took one step inside and turned on the light. There was a guest sleeping in the bed!!! In our many travels, this has NEVER happened before! We retreated as quietly and quickly as we could, wandered with all our stuff way back down to the front desk and explained the situation. They seemed to find it quite funny, somehow. We were then given what they described as an upgraded room. It was very large and great, actually. When I looked back at the reservation, THIS was the type of room we had reserved and paid for in the first place. In fact, the room given in error was a downgrade. I don't know what happened, but it was handled in a pretty unprofessional manner all around. It seemed remarkable to me that with an error of this caliber they were not falling over trying to make up for it. In the mean time, I feel horrible for the poor person we walked in on! I have never been familiar with the art of getting the most out of customer service complaints, but I wish there had been some sort of offering during this unfortunate visit. I would suggest that the owners of this establishment spend a little more time training their staff.
On the plus side, as I said, the room was nice; it was unfortunate we had so little time to enjoy it. Had they checked us in early, I would have all sorts of nice things to say. We had to leave very early the next morning back to the airport, and thank goodness, the shuttle arrived to pick us up on time and we were delivered to DIA without incident.

Room Tip: Make sure you are the only one assigned to it! (see above)

Stopped in on a Friday night, with no reservations, got a very large 2 room suite for a great price. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel has a western rustic flare. Could use a little up keep and a little clean up in the commons areas. Staff was very freindly and helpful, though a little short handed. Other than that it was a quite nights sleep.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the inner courtyard are quieter.Rooms on the 2nd floor are warmer.
